Read moreAn incredible experience as always. We arrive to a clean establishment - walking in on the Staff preparing more Greens amongst others- and settle quickly and start watching thr Basketball game playing. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly, Making sure to check us in fast as well as Was very smooth between servicing several customers. Very good prices- The main entrees being roughly $8 and the sides being like $4 with $2 beverages.
Despite placing a large order, they bring the food out very fast. I ordered the Smoked chicken, sweet potatoes, Mac & Cheese, dirty rice, and HotWater corn bread. My Boyfriend orders Ribs, Brisket, Hot links, and Mac & Cheese with Cornbread. Well seasoned and tender, all the meat flling off the bone. Mac and Cheese moist and cheesy, the sweet potatoes my favorite! Sweet and soft, rounding out the taste profile perfectly. They have a strong selection of regular beverages (Enjoying my meal with A Strawberry lemonade) but to my Surprise they have a very strong Alcoholic beverage menu! The Mexican Candy cocktail would have been my selection and they had something with a cookie dough liquor? Definitely would have been a must try if I had not left my ID at home! We received large plates, both of us taking home a piece of meat with Corn bread with a sweet but crisp Peach cobbler to go.
Their food truck off Illiff & Buckley is how I found out about the establishment. The truck is always so good and popular that it often sells out fast, so it was nice to be able to have a range of selection here while sitting at the comfortable booth. Everything prepared Hot and fresh, One of my favorite eateries in Aurora. Definitely look forward to bringing my ID to try out their...
Read moreI wish I could leave 0 stars, but even that would be to generous! Being the only 2 people in the dining area you would assume service would have been quicker, but we assumed wrong. That should have been the red flag for us to get up and leave when it took our waitress 20 minutes just to get our drinks. At this place it seems people only get paid to socialize and be on their phones. This is the worst bbq I have ever had! Not only was the brisket completely dry it was completely flavorless. The macaroni and cheese looked as if it had been sitting hours prior to coming to my plate. It was hard with a waxy like texture which I couldn’t even take more than 2 bites of. The hot water cooked cornbread was the icing on the horrible food cake!! It was dense, dry and had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. We didn’t see our waitress until 25 minutes after we got our food, and once she did come over to check on us she could have cared less about the issue I had with the poor quality of food. She looked shocked at my comments but did she even ask to remedy a situation. Clearly the staff needs better training on customer service. I could not even decide which was worse the food or the service, I have never been so disgusted and disappointed by both! If I was the owner I would be extremely embarrassed reading about the experience customers are having at my restaurant and nothing is being done about it. This meal was not worth 58 dollars for watered down drinks, disgusting food, and extremely poor service!! I will leave a positive comment I suggest just ordering the Texas toast if you...
