My family and I went to the Aurora, IL location. Now, I am allergic to seafood, but my family enjoys it so I always get the chicken tenders. We have called ahead in the past to let them know about my allergy and been told just remind your server first thing so they know to put your tenders in a separate fryer than the one they use for the fish. Mind you, we have been here several times. So, this evening, we sat down and I immediately told my server about my allergy and he said “no problem, I’ll let them know”. For my sides, I ordered the bacon mac and fries. For a bit of backstory, this had already been an extremely horrible experience, the AC was turned up so high that everyone was complaining, it was to the point that it was uncomfortable, people were going to their cars to get blankets and jackets, everyone was talking about it, we complained to our server and he literally looked at the table next to ours and asked “are you guys cold” to which they replied “yes it’s freezing in here”. To give some credit, they did turn the AC down a bit. So, our food comes out and they gave me orange slices instead of fries, so I asked him to remedy that, and he said he’d take care of it, in this time my grandmother also asked for a hot tea, we asked for napkins, a side of sour cream and ranch. He forgot the napkins, sour cream, and ranch so we had to remind him and my grandma waited about 30 mins for her tea to come out looking like black coffee. In all this time, he kept coming back with excuses about my fries and I had eaten one chicken tender. Suddenly, the manager appears at our table and says “i’ve been informed someone here has an allergy?” he then proceeded to go on and tell me that they couldn’t do my fries because they don’t have a separate fryer and my tenders were cooked in the same oil as the seafood. So now, my waiter had seen me eating the chicken tender and knowingly put me in danger because he knew it was not safe. Thank goodness I had my epipen. But, I’m very frustrated because the first thing he should have done when he found out about the fries instead of making excuses would be to tell me that the chicken tenders would not be safe for me to eat. So, why are your employees not trained on allergies and protocol? I will be contacting corporate to let them know what happened and that all that Josh the manager could say was “Is there anything else I can do for you now?” I will also be finding out the servers name because he played with my life with no regard and he actually laughed about it when...

Ashamed on how management are like if they were 12yrs old unprofessional and when food not at your expectations they change it at your expense. Really what's that!!!! every one pointing fingers instead of making it right for the customer. on top suggestion, but you pay for there unprofessionalizum. Terrible service. won't be going there anymore . Too not clean discriminate you. like if you want it free aw hell no!!!! Wrong . you over step your boundaries management need to get recertification cause the way you handle the situation was of a 12year old . If customer not satisfied with food and not asking for anything else and you suggest like your replacing it , cause we're dissatisfied you don't charge the customer. Or if you do you don't charge full price . Bad management. Wasn't like this before, management before this crew was nicer professional family oriented this crew is a joke . Sad how people make money there out of a circus. Too look at cameras waited long for my meal when order and when they suggested waited long sad. RESPONSE TO MANAGEMENT'S AND RED LOBSTER Redlobster your service Lousy ,why would I put you on Facebook give you free publicity I'm good here Google. What you needed to to is refund me Half of the money, you charge me by suggesting something, else making me think you were going to replace it ,cause of the recipe was change and I was unaware on my meal and didn't like .didn't want it free!!! which I should of got it free for all the inconvenience and giving me my meal 45min late and then when you suggested brought it to me 35 min more wait what's that .and on top charge me more money what's that.and then manager I spoke to him then he couldn't fix it call another manager. That's being treat like a thief can't refund me or make any decisions unless she tell corporate what's that!!! She shouldn't be a manager if she can't make any decisions. There I felt like we're wheeing and dealing. And now instead of giving me a 1/2 refund were putting our dirty laundry out when it should of been taken care of and move on nor write all these problems not good for business how ignorant more can you be. Sad my 10yr old can be the manger cause you all old still don't get it . I don't know who train you for managers need to get retrain .customers always right I rather loose $10 then have my customers bad mouth my place and loose business you won't be there long with this type of...
Read moreI really liked this Red Lobster. When I walked in I was greeted by a red head man who was really sweet. His energy was amazing and I felt special coming in. I dined as one and my server was Sean. While there, I had great service and attention! I felt taken care of and really attentive. Sean's personality was contagious. He was fun, always smiling, and made sure to take care of your order to perfection. I ordered the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake. This was with Linguine Pasta, Mussels, Scallops, Lobster Tails, and Shrimp, all soaked in White Wine Sauce. When I say this food was delicious, I mean THIS FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! The shrimp was so fresh and all the other seafood was exquisite. Usually when you get seafood from restaurants, it's overcooked, gummy, or like rubbery plastic. This time did not. The shrimp literally had a fresh, crisp snap to it and tasted just like it came right away from wherever it comes (it did not taste like it was sitting or pre-frozen for a while). I absolutely love mussels, so I'm really glad they brought that back.
I ordered a drink. I got a Mojito and added Peach to it. I missed the daily special by like an hour, but I was ok with that. Sean was kind enough to offer making me any drink of my choice. =) The bartender Will literally tried to kill me! XD, Lol, I'm just kidding; but basically, he made that mojito so strong! It was well worth it. I actually felt a buzz. Usually bar cocktail drinks don't do anything or have ANYTHING (liquor) in them...So that was a pleasant surprise. Both gentleman were extremely sweet and great to talk to.
Overall, this Red Lobster is amazing. I would definitely come there again! I love the location (a little bit...Aurora is confusing). The restaurant was clean. There was a gentleman constantly cleaning the area around me, so that was good. The restrooms were actually well cleaned and stocked. I felt comfortable using it. The restaurant wasn't loud (except the child behind me; but out of all control). The music was at a good level, you could actually hear yourself think or have a conversation with your table party. Parking is a little weird...I got lost and parked on the side of the building, because that's where the first road lets in. But that's neither here nor there.
So, honestly, I would come back again. I will come back and I'm going to see my waiter Sean and the bartender. They provided excellent service and the place was immaculate.
This is my opinion...
