Taco Dale Aurora — Restaurant in Aurora

Taco Dále Aurora had a 5 star review for me… until today. They lost a 5 star review due to terrible service.

I loved this place - until I placed a pickup order today. The online order process is easy enough but when you get to the restaurant, they make you wait in line. This makes no sense! You should be able to get your order without having to wait in line just to tell them you have a pick up order. When I tried to walk around and tell them I had a pick up, I was chastised and told to go to the back of the line. Now I am sitting here in my car with food that has been sitting on the counter for nearly 10 minutes. They handed it to me with a rude attitude and forgot to give me my drink that came with the kids meal. And this was an order I had placed online - and paid for - nearly 45 minutes ago at this point.

I called and asked for the manager - she wouldn't give me her name. When I asked why they make people wait in line to get food that's already been paid for and that is ready sitting on the counter - she just said, "I don't know…" No apology was offered, and there was no attempt to make things right.

Terrible system - don't think I will be getting take out from this place again. Auténtico Mexican chain restaurant (yes, that's possible, and awesome) serving tacos, tortas, elotes, orange salsa (A+!), breakfast, seafood, soups, fajitas, margaritas, and Mexican nachos which might be my new favorite thing ever. Fresh chips and fantastic, chunky guacamole. Al Pastor was great.

We were out shopping and didn't want to stop and ruin the shop till you drop vibe but we were starving and a drive thru wouldn't cut it but both agreed a quick taco or quesadilla would hit the spot. We decided on Taco Dale since we'd never had it before, it was a Friday night and again wanted something quick. Our initial thought or plan was (as it usually is) was to just get it to go and eat in the car and keep shopping.... we went in and ordered a cheese quesadilla and a steak quesadilla I asked if they could cut them in half (so we could split them) to let us each try both. They come with pico, guac, and crema. We didn't get the pico - just guac and crema. The girl was easily accommodating. As we were waiting for the order we quickly realized it may be greasy and we should probably stay and just eat it there. Once we got the order we told them we were going to stay and Christian was extremely accommodating and kind - he brought us chips, salsa, hot and mild sauce and drinks since we weren't going to initially stay. He also kept checking on us to see if we needed anything as well.s Christian was also very kind and friendly to the other patrons that came in as well. The menu is abundantly full, there is something for everyone and the menu can be easily accommodating if needed. The ladies were very kind as well (I didn't get any names though I'm sorry). This past Saturday would be my last time ordering food from Aurora taco dale, I would rather drive to the Bolingbrook one. The food are normally good but this place has a habit of forgetting an item or two that resulted in we have to go back to get the order the next day. This time they forgot the guacamole & chips. Also, we decided we wanted to try their menudo. We love menudo & we know what kind of menudo is good and edible. Not sure if this is what they normally sell, but the menudo tasted like they didn't clean the tripes thoroughly. It was so pungent that we had to throw the whole container out ($13.99). Besides the food, the disappointed part out of this last experience and what makes us not want to go back is when we make a courtesy call to let them know that the menudo tastes bad, they didn't receive the call gracefully. They said they've been serving from the same pot all day and not a single person complained about it. Well maybe they didn't want to call back because y'all didn't receive criticism well? Anyways... I understand that people makes mistakes & we are all trying to make a living. But 3 times is our limit to give a restaurant a chance.
