Very disappointed in our experience here. We regularly eat Thai food, and were excited to try this new place. We ordered the green curry as takeout, which smelled and tasted rotten. We also ordered two noodle dishes, the pad Thai which tasted like nothing but black pepper and fish sauce, and the drunken noodles had tofu that tasted like rotten soy sauce. It honestly made us nauseous. We felt really bad, but it wasn’t edible at all, so we ended up taking it back to the restaurant. When we got there, the hostess refused to admit anything was wrong with the food, and even had the chef try the food in front of us. He insisted the food tasted fine, even though we kept telling them that we were sorry, we just couldn’t eat it and would like a refund. The hostess became very defensive continually invalidated us, even asking if we had ever had Thai food and just didn’t know what it was supposed to taste like. After going back and forth for a while, she finally gave us only half a refund, even though we had only had a bite of each dish, and did not offer to remake the food. Essentially, they stole half of what we paid for the meal. Overall, don’t come here unless you want rotten food and bad...

Really lacking customer service, went in to have a bite but left extremely disappointed not with the food just with people working pretty much lost my appetite. We had three orders, one for me one for my friend and another for my brother at home. Made it clear to them three soups one seafood and two pork noodle soups one was take out for my brother. But maybe he got it mixed up but he brought all three soups to our table, when I said oh one was take out only two for here he kind of garaged and put the two down, both were pork didn’t get my seafood one. I asked why I didn’t get my seafood one because the one to go was pork too. They did fix that and put seafood in mine but when it was time to pay they gave me the two noodle soups but I only ordered 3 he said because there was a mistake he put both of them in the bag to go and changed me for 4 orders which there was but it was their fault. They couldn’t get the order right 3 times. I payed for it and left with the two pork noodle soup. Definitely not sitting down and eating there anymore. (Changed to 3 star because the food was great,...

I visited this restaurant because I was craving Asian food, and as someone who has tried a lot of Thai cuisine, my expectations were high. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit underwhelming. The papaya salad lacked the spice I was hoping for and leaned more on the sweet side, which wasn’t what I expected. The fried rice was decent, but the chicken didn’t taste very fresh, which was disappointing. However, the biggest letdown for me was the Tom Yum soup. I specifically requested extra spicy, expecting a bold kick of heat, but it seemed like they just tossed in a lot of chili flakes without actually enhancing the flavour. Beyond the food, the restaurant’s cleanliness was a concern, especially the toilet, which was extremely smelly and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. It definitely took away from the dining experience. Of course, this is just my personal experience, and others might have a different opinion. Hopefully, the restaurant improves in these areas because Thai food deserves to...

I visited this restaurant because I was craving Asian food, and as someone who has tried a lot of Thai cuisine, my expectations were high. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit underwhelming. The **papaya salad** lacked the spice I was hoping for and leaned more on the sweet side, which wasn’t what I expected. The **fried rice** was decent, but the **chicken didn’t taste very fresh**, which was disappointing. However, the biggest letdown for me was the **Tom Yum soup**. I specifically requested extra spicy, expecting a bold kick of heat, but it seemed like they just tossed in a lot of chili flakes without actually enhancing the flavour. Beyond the food, the **restaurant’s cleanliness was a concern**, especially the **toilet, which was extremely smelly and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while**. It definitely took away from the dining experience. Of course, this is just my personal experience, and others might have a different opinion. Hopefully, the restaurant improves in these areas because Thai food deserves to be done right!

I brought my family here for an early dinner and wanted to find a gem in Denver’s not-very-diverse restaurant selection. Spicy 9 Thai is a quaint restaurant attached to an Asian grocer with limited indoor seating, clean restrooms, and fast service. Their menu has great variety and we ordered something different for everyone. The portion sizes were fine, just a bit larger than a one-person serving for the entrees. The curry was a lot more like soup than we are used to; their mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea were both excellent desserts though the Thai iced tea still had more ice than we’d like. Overall, flavors are there as the difference between authentic and spicy 9 Thai is limited to just a few dishes. Would dine here again.

Such a quaint little restaurant with really tasty food! I am always in search of a good Tom Yum with fried tofu and this place does a really great job. The tofu is in small enough chunks to be able to have a nice bite, which I really appreciated! The only thing is, I wish they served it with the Thai soup spoon, and not the regular metal spoon. Other than that, the service was friendly and the waiter/cook read my mind when I asked for dessert (mango with sweet sticky rice).
