Beto's Restaurant #2 — Restaurant in Austin

Tonight's experience at Beto's # 2 was HORRID! Actually walked out! We love the food at the morning staff is awesome ! We walked out not because of the food but the horrible waitress that was completely inept to accommodate a meal for my two year old son. First, we asked for water for him in a cup and a lid, she brought us a regular cup. We asked if she could please bring us a cup with a lid for him, her mouthy attitude began, Stating " I cannot do that "- asked why, her response was " I do not know, I just can't " followed by are you ready to order. Yes, may we have a beef Milanesa torta with out the bread on a plate with a side of rice and beans " no we cannot do that - same answer " they just can't " so asked her then may I order the chicken milanesa plate but sub the chicken for the beef, same untrained unknowledgeable response from her, " We cannot do that " I asked if it was that much of inconvenience to accommodate a request for my son, she said yes. I asked to speak with a manager, not one on premises. All staff was completely inept at the request, I offered to pay the difference or the price of the chicken milanesa place....Was a no go, even the cooked refused. Friends, family that visit this place will no longer do so as for the mouthy over size waitress, she needs to be terminated, if Beto's # 2 is named after Beto, Beto you do not need people like that working at your stablishment. Cashier same. Rating is one star because that's the option given as the lowest rating....

Went to get ribs in red salsa. I usually get chips and salsa placed on my table. Didn't happen this time. I asked the waitress if she had chips and salsa. She said: "yes, would like some". ( The question weirded me out) I told her yes. At the end of my meal I went to pay and had a bill over 28 dollars. When I asked the cashier about an itemized list of what I got, it showed the meal,drink and and extra order of tortillas (which I ordered) plus chips and salsa 3.99. I asked the cashier if the chips and salsa weren't free anymore. She said they were free after a certain time. The waitress did not tell me this so I found it to be a shady way to get money. (Buyer beware). The food is good and the place is clean. But if you include honesty it can take your business to a higher level. I hope they can let customers know of the changes so to they don't get...

I went to eat dinner with my family and I was given a difficult time because Karen a waitress with insecure issues called the police due to jealousy. My family, friends and I have gone there for years and it's very unappreciative and unprofessional to have the cops called when nothing was done but go and have a dinner after working late to a restaurant we've gone to for 27 years"Arturos" and now Beto's. She claimed to be the manager but would like to speak to who actually runs the restaurant since this was/is totally uncalled for. And not a good scene since it ran off some customers while others left due to the police being there. Now our waitress short chubby women Yezmi was throwing our silverware around and slamming plates on the tables.
