Absolutely incredible experience at Pizza di Roma! From the moment we walked in, Tony's wonderful and lively personality set the tone for an unforgettable evening. His warm welcome and genuine enthusiasm made us feel like cherished guests rather than just customers.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the delicious shrimp pasta. It was perfectly cooked, with a rich and flavorful sauce that left us craving more. Each bite was a testament to Tony's culinary skill and passion for Italian cuisine.

We also tried the fungi pizza and the margherita pizza, both of which were outstanding. The fungi pizza was loaded with fresh, aromatic mushrooms, and the margherita pizza was a classic done right, with a perfect balance of tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. And let's not forget the bread—made fresh and absolutely delicious, it was the perfect complement to our meal.

Pizza di Roma is only three weeks old, but it has already made a lasting impression. The location is fantastic, and I can only imagine how wonderful it will be once the summer terrace becomes available. Dining al fresco while enjoying Tony's incredible dishes will be an experience not to be missed.

Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant – Tony and his team have truly created something special here!

Oh! And he sold me on the lasagna which I am going to try this week. The proper European classic as I grew up eating....

Mama Mia!! The BEST pizza in America! They use "Double Zero" flour that they let rise for 2 days, making it DELICIOUS and healthy.... not like any other pizza place, and they're LESS expensive with quality ingredients. We split an INSALATA DI RUCOLA (arugula) and it was excellent. (Next time, I'll try the Mediterranean Salad). Adding hot bread and olive oil dip made it a filling meal. But it was so good, I kept ordering and have amazing leftovers. The meatballs and mozzarella will make me come back for more. The mozzarella is fluffy and light, while the meatballs' flavor explodes in your mouth... Yum. I've never experienced mozzarella cooked to perfection like this paired with homemade meatballs and sauce. All of their pastas are amazing.... again, quality ingredients. I loved the Tagliatelle with Porcini Mushrooms.

The owner convinced me to try their desserts. I will have to try them all eventually. The owners duplicate their "farm to table" family recipes with the quality and flavors that are native to them. What a delight to meet them and appreciate their exceptional cuisine. When my friend said we're going to the best Italian Restaurant, I thought it was going to be fancy and expensive... Nope, just the best. This place...

The family stopped in for the 2nd time because of our great experience the first time (mainly pizza). We came back this time specifically to try their pastas because last time they told us all the pasta was made in-house.

So I got the lasagna. It was delicious! Really, really good. My daughter ordered the fettuccine alfredo (which I sampled) and it was awesome as well. My wife ordered another calzone because she loved it so much the first time. This time they allowed her to order a custom one not on the menu - and she loved it.

While were waiting, they brought us a sample of their margherita pizza and Rigatoni Amatriciana - very good!

I'm over-the-moon happy this placed opened because we've had a hard time finding really good Italian places in Austin. Everyone needs to support this restaurant because, selfishly, I want them to be around forever.

  • ORIGINAL REVIEW 3 WEEKS PRIOR* Stopped in for the first thinking it was only pizza. They had much more! Pasta, calzones, meatballs, etc. We had the pizza (by the slice), cheese sticks, meatballs and a calzone, and they were all fantastic. Will...

This was my first time here, I was craving pizza all day and didn’t want to go to the regular spots, saw the reviews and the picture and decided to visit, it did not disappoint. I’m leaving this review still inside the restaurant eating a slice of cheesecake and with a to go box with two slices of pizza. Sam was very helpful explaining the combinations and the style of pizzas and everything was spot on ! 4.9 stars in +300 reviews is a good sign this is a good place and let me tell you is good. Thanks Sam and his team, definitely will be a regular spot for me and my family.

Absolute hidden gem serving delicious Roman pizza and surprisingly very delicious pasta as well. Owner came around asking for feedback and offered to whip up some authentic Italian dishes for me. Be sure to ask for Tony to try his authentic style of cuisine. Besides that, the menu is pretty extensive and they have multiple types of pizza. I recommend trying the Roman style to start out and ordering the rigatoni amatriciana and opting for guanciale (menu says guanciale but he subs with pancetta). A+ for customer service and A++ for affordable Italian eats in Austin!

THE best Italian food in Austin hands down! I lived in Rome for a little while and this is not only the best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy, but absolutely on par with the best food I had while there. The customer service was great, I could tell they really put a lot of care into the quality of the food they’re making. I had the suppli, margarita pizza, and the rigatoni amatriciana- I could not recommend these dishes enough! The pizza dough is incredible and the homemade pasta has the perfect chew. Will be coming back as soon as possible!
