I didn't really know what to expect when I walked into the circus themed dive bar last night. Adorning the stage was a massive blue elephant sculpture jutting out of the wall. One of the singers last night remarked that the lounge reminded him of a David Lynch film. I agree! Some caveats about the otherwise wonderland of a bar: 1)It is BYOB hard liquor and the bar sells set ups (Don't fret, there's a liquor store right next door to the club), And, don't even think about bringing in your own beer and wine because the establishment sells it. Read moreI like this place. It is one of the few remaining places in Austin where you can go have an inexpensive beer and relax in a safe, welcoming, interesting environment. It has been around forever. It features live music at times and always friendly staff members. The clientele that go there are also nice to be around. If you want wine just take your own bottle and they give you a set up and it’s very inexpensive. I will be sorry when the time arrives and Austin no longer has joints like this. The dim lighting, vibrant colors and eclectic decor fill this circus themed lounge. Coming through the door, you run into the bar and to your left there are booths and small tables leading to a stage.
