Oh, fellow food enthusiasts, prepare to embark on a culinary odyssey that transcends the mundane! Chili's, nestled in the heart of Austin, Texas, is nothing short of a local gastronomic treasure trove! This unassuming indie restaurant defies all expectations, catapulting your taste buds to uncharted realms of delight! From the moment you set foot in this divine eatery, you are swept away by its charming ambiance, replete with soft ambient lighting, eclectic décor, and mesmerizing hydroponic plants adorning the walls. These verdant green wonders not only tantalize the eyes, but also play a crucial role in Chili's commitment to fresh, local ingredients that truly set it apart from the competition. As you sit down to embark on your epicurean adventure, brace yourself for an unparalleled menu bursting with imaginative creations. Each dish is a symphony of flavors so harmoniously intertwined that your very concept of food shall be forever altered! The legendary Triple Dipper - a triumph of culinary innovation - allows you to sample three of their heavenly appetizers, leaving you spoiled for choice and craving more. The pièce de résistance, however, is undoubtedly Chili's Baby Back Ribs. Each tender, succulent morsel, glazed in their house-made BBQ sauce, is a testament to the chef's mastery of the culinary arts. As you sink your teeth into these heavenly delights, time itself seems to slow, allowing you to savor each exquisite bite as it deserves. The staff at Chili's, true artists in their own right, are a vital ingredient in the enchanting experience that is dining here. Their passion for their craft shines through in every interaction, as they guide you through the menu, expertly pairing dishes and drinks to elevate your meal to celestial heights. In conclusion, Chili's is the crown jewel of Austin's indie restaurant scene - a gastronomic haven where the fusion of fresh, local ingredients, hydroponic plants, and culinary genius coalesce to create a dining experience that will leave you speechless. Five stars simply do not suffice; Chili's is the epitome of culinary excellence, and a must-visit destination for any true gourmand.

The Chili's on 45th and Lamar may not have moderately decent food, or even moderately decent prices, Just know that when you walk into those tasteful burgundy double doors into Chili's' timeless and postmodern feng shui, you're stepping onto hallowed ground. Thousands of souls, and, more importantly, conversations have died here. The motorbike races, displayed deliberately so that one person in every party's view is obscured, offer a 4D experience unlike any other; the tires transcend the screen, reincarnated as the beef fajitas. It all makes for a holistic eating and viewing experience. Seriously, though, Abbi was the best server. She fought valiantly for our party of 10's orders to come out in a timely and correct manner, even when one individual confused the dip trio with the triple dipper and one individual (the same one) accidentally tipped $70. Neither of which are anyone's fault but Chili's' UI/UX team and the flashing bricks that stand as a testament to the futility of technology and the irreversibility of time. If I get a last meal, I'll have the fajita trio at the Chili's on 45th and Lamar so that I can wish to hasten the sweet embrace of death.

Service was great, the waiter was super friendly and funny and we had a great time with him. The drinks came pretty fast and the food came relatively quick as well. Even on a Wednesday it was super full, both the parking lot and the interior. The food is more on the bigger end, especially if you order something filling like pasta. However, there are not very many options that are vegan or vegetarian, most of the menu is meaty or starchy. You're not going to find many fresh fruits or vegetables being used. The tvs playing in the background is also annoying, 8/10 times I looked up there was an ad playing. It's overstimulating. The mini iPad thing at the table was incredibly useful for splitting up payment as a group, but the other time it was at the table it was just playing ads. There was no napkin dispenser, and instead simply a pile of them in the middle of the table. The bathroom was relatively clean, fully functional which is nice. Overall I would come again with friends.

So my family just started spending a lot of time in this area (I'm in school nearby). We eat out a lot around here and have some favorites. I decided to order some pick up for dinner from this place with my toddler in the car. I realized if you downloaded the app you got a free chips and salsa, It was a hassle, but I went ahead and did that. Placed the order and waited in the parking lot for curbside pickup. First of all it took forever for our food to come out and I had to call inside to see where it was. They came out after about 15 minutes with our food. But I noticed the chips and salsa are not discounted (as it should have been). I tell the waiter and he is annoyed. At this point my toddler starts whining, because we have been in the car waiting for quite a while. He says the code didn't go through for the chips for some reason. I show him the app and it he can't find it. He goes back in to ask a manager (takes the chips and salsa with him). He comes back after 5-10 more minutes and says they can't do it and I have to pay the full price (like $4) for the chips and salsa. The kid is full fledged crying now while we are talking. He argues with me for a few minutes then I ask for a manager (becasue I've waited this long, I'm getting the dang chips and salsa!) The manager comes out and says they don't see the coupon and gives me the 3rd degree. After going back and forth for a while. He finally gives in, but now has to go back inside to get the chips and salsa becasue the waiter took it and didn't bring it back. Takes 5 more minutes and kid is still screaming. Finally I get them, but it was a horrible experience. The big deal and drama caused over $4 chips and salsa solidified my decision to not go back here again. As someone who has worked in service, customer service and management, It was pretty terrible. That $4 lost them hundreds that we would have spent eating out there, that we just spend...

Let me just say, leading up to this event Chili's has been one of my favorite chains in the US. Tonight was without a doubt the worst dining experience of my life. The three of us went out at 7:00 on a Wednesday, it was not busy, not even 1/4 capacity. After waiting to be seated, then being seated in the very back right next to a table of 15+ People and the kitchen. We then ordered drinks and appetizers, and waited nearly 20min for the drinks, which our waiter then spilled one of the entire drinks on our friend and poorly cleaned it up, not to mention didn't offer to move us from the soaked booth. We then ordered food (what a mistake) I ordered a blackbean burger (I've been a vegetarian for the past 8 years), to then be given a meat burger, which luckily I noticed before taking a bite as I would have been very sick from eating meat. We then waited nearly 10min before being able to find someone to correct this, who then told us he would "get our waiter", the waiter never showed back up. We then got the attention of a different waiter who then went and got the burger I had ordered within 2 minutes, which then tells me it had been sitting at the pass and I was given someone else's burger. So now the food I had ordered had been sitting out for a minimum of 15min. Needless to say it was stone cold, and at that point we had had enough. Of course it's Chili's so the waiter didn't even bring us our bill, we had to pay on the junk POS machine which was malfunctioning and the touch screen was barley responsive. What a waste of nearly $70, and our time. This will be the last time I dine...
