Gyro Center — Restaurant in Austin

What you need to know:

Most friendly gentlemen ever with a servant heart to cook whatever you want with love and dedication.

Called in my order after looking for a late night dinner for my mom and I following a long day at our hotel room where we were staying while trying to get work done at our apartment.

Not only was he able to take our call but also called us back to make sure that he got our mail right and then also apologize for being short on beef and improvise on our order.

We arrived to a gas station where we found some parking and they were able to walk over to his food trailer.

Parking would be about the only thing you're going to find complicated as you going to have to use the shared parking for the gas station to be able to access this food trailer.

That aside was definitely worth the logistics.

Behind the gas station is a little improvised dining area along with two other food trailers so this area has been renovated around the gas station into a little mini eating area.

The value and food portions for the price is the best I have ever had in this town since moving to Austin in 2012.

The giro Lamb plate was one of the best darn plates and their spice sauce and mayonnaise based no dairy white sauce is magnificent.

Nothing tasted cheap nor spoiled the lettuce to the tomato to the cucumber to the pickles and onion all tasted fresh and high quality for a unbeatable price.

Their falafels are amazing and not overcooked nor hard shelled as some falafels I've had in this town which tasted like they came straight from the freezer into a microwave. These falafels tasted fresh beyond anything I've tasted when it comes to falafels and even gave me a couple more falafels for my troubles and not having enough beef for our second plate.

They do accept cash credit debit and have some drink options depending on the time of day and of course but the gas station right there there's other drink options as well to choose from.

Included namkins and utensils but make sure to double-check as always especially if he's busy you may have accidentally missed a napkin so utensils and always grateful to make amends and put napkins in utensils in your bag.

He had the most wall groomed rounded beard I've seen in town in a long while kudos to this man's facial hair representing his overall professionalism and humanity in all he does and cook. :)

No idea if this is a one man food trailer or if he has any other help.

Food trailer with heart and soul in their food here's what you need to know before coming to this place...

Parking can be a nightmare as it is a shared small parking lot with the convenience store with super high price gas and other food trailers in the corner hoping by God they can somehow get sales I don't know how in the world they're still in business while this one thankfully is right at the corner where you can see it!

There was a outdoor dining and the convenience store inside is known for having every darn exotic drink you could ever imagine and then some

On the other hand I keep coming back just for the Mediterranean food from this Jolly go lucky fellow and his team who put countless hours into maintaining a constant stream of food day in and out!

They do sell out of beef gyro plates and all of their portion sizes are absolutely magnificent for the price with phenomenal attention to spice detail flavor and texture!

They get a constant flow of orders coming in for pick up to go and does are always busy even when it doesn't look like it outside

Cool thing is they have no problem with you calling in your order for pickup and not having to go through a fancy app just to do so like some places in town

They have lamb gyros chicken Gyros combination plates and once again I want to make an emphasis that they run out of beef quickly and today as it is very popular and well priced

The freshest of salads cucumber pickles their sauces are phenomenal with some unique spices to it that sets it apart from other Mediterranean places in town and you get in and out reasonably fast once you put in your order if you're there waiting to give you a little electrical device that lets you know when your food is ready and vibrates

They are open late night hours so it is perfect for a lunch dinner and that late-night munchies snack mood that must have that high protein lifestyle

I highly recommend them to everybody especially since it is thankfully on my route too many other places I regularly visit in the area and still consistently know I can come in and out for an awesome...
