CONCR - conscious cravings — Restaurant in Austin

I'm vegan and I don't enjoy hating on plant-based restaurants but I've definitely had my last visit to Conscious Cravings. I used to love this place, however, in recent years it has been in steady decline; both in food quality and customer service (specifically on at the Mueller location). I met a friend there a couple of days ago. I ordered, and felt instantly the negative energy of the guy behind the counter. Zero pleasant engagement, discouraged me from ordering a lemonade because he just ran out and it was going to take him too long to make more. And when my friend arrived and went up to the window, the guy snappishly stated he could not take any orders because something was happening in the truck and then slammed the windows shut. I've witnessed and/or experienced this happening more than once. I get being frazzled if technical breakdowns are happening AND, at the end of the day, it's still the hospitality industry. I tried finding a business email to send in a recommendation but wasn’t able to find one on their website. So I have to leave a review after being very disappointed in the food quality to bring awareness to a product change. I use to absolutely love this place for their wraps and fries for years. I was in this part of town today and decided to order their fries for pick up. After receiving them, it was disappointing to find large frozen cheap fries that were very soft and soggy. They must have changed the fries because they use to be smaller, crispy, delicious and fresh tasting with so much rosemary salt seasoning.

These new fries are bland and the cheap restaurant style that you find frozen bagged. Those smaller crispy fries were part of their original model and the old pictures are still up on google but it’s sad they changed the quality of their product. So sad… I could have gotten cheap fries anywhere else but was hoping a “conscious” food trailer would do better than this. Bring your old fries...

First time ordering from this place. The young boy was nice and helpful at first. He told me good information about the food. 1-2 minutes after ordering I asked to change an order from a salad to a wrap. He responded “I’ve already started making it” and walked away! I was shocked! I had already paid otherwise I would have left. I paid $30 bucks for this food and a bad attitude. That wasn’t all! He then drop my food on the ledge and walked away. He didn’t thank me for my business, call me over to tell me it was ready, or make any effort to represent this company well. I read the reviews after I left and wished I had before I went! The food was ok but mainly because I didn’t trust this boy after he treated me poorly. I don’t recommend this food truck and I know many people in the vegan community and I plan on telling everyone I know NOT...
