Ice cream is good. When they say one scoop they really mean it. There is nothing inside that cone but that's fine it's a highend place.
Customer service is garbage. Every time I have gone in here I have to say my order at least 3 or more times (I get one scoop/flavor on a cone everytime) and I get stared at like an idiot (not sure why). The most recent time I have been will be my family's last. My husband, child, and I walked it together during a slow time. My husband ordered and got his cone and proceeded to watch our child as he wandered around the store which led them to the outside patio area. When I tried to finish our order the scooper was freaking out thinking my husband was stealing. I was finally able to get her attention and tell her that we were together. No apology or anything just the normal repeat my order 3 times and pay. I'm not sure what is up with the staff here but they are either extremely rude or dumb. For that I cannot justify paying $5 for literally a single scoop of ice cream. I appreciate the simple ingredients and such but please do some about the customer service.
Note our last visit was a little over a month ago and this place is steps from the Thinkery so chasing children while getting ice cream seems...
Read moreThe ice cream looked fine, normal. It in fact, was not. Definitely vegan, which was unexpected, and not at all pleasant in terms of taste. I asked to try a flavor and "due to covid" they're not allowing for that lol in all honesty, they should probably keep that policy around. Because after trying it, who would actually BUY a scoop? 😭 Boy if I'd have know....nonetheless, my daughter ordered caramel something or other, and tried a spoonful. The look on her face said it all. I still gave it shot because maybe she just couldn't appreciate the more refined product, or so I thought 😅 nope, my 6yo was right. HORRIBLE experience. I guess I should've known when I saw goat cheese and herbs listed as a flavor...for nearly $4 for a scoop, you'd think it'd be worth it...wrong. I'm a chef, so I often make vegan desserts, frozen and otherwise. I can appreciate them, but this was all wrong. It definitely didn't taste like caramel anything. However, I will say that the CONSISTENCY of the ice cream itself, and lemonade soda was great! The rainwater, even better. I'd have gladly paid $4 for the water over the ice cream 😩 won't be back unless it's for the latter 2 options. So 2 stars for that. Service wasn't particularly pleasant...
