Good afternoon,
I want to start by saying I LOVE Easy Tiger! I've always had such positive experiences and I routinely conduct job interviews and feedback sessions at both your Link and South Lamar locations. I enjoy all of your food and really enjoy introducing those I bring to such a cool environment and really good menu selection that is consistently made to a high standard.
I'm sad to say that today was a completely different experience. I was really looking forward to coming after having spent my day since the early morning on the go and needed a place to sit and do work and eat for the first time all day but not something from a drive through as happens a lot in my line of work. I came in and sat down and waited for one of the waiters behind the bar to come check-in. That never happened as, even though they made eye contact several times, after 15min I realized the were not coming over and were taking with an individual I can only assume was a manager who was also not coming to assist. I got up and went to the register and asked if there was a change in how to place an order since in the past when I sit inside, a server comes over. The nice woman behind the counter said no and was surprised nobody had interacted with me. I went ahead and ordered a burger that comes with the jalapeno jam on it and fries and just a water. Went back to my table and waited while doing some much needed work on my laptop. My burger came, dry as a bone with no jam, no condiments of any kind at all. just dry on the bun with cheese not even melted. It was not what I've gotten many times and not what was described on the menu. I left it alone and was expecting maybe one of the servers who was interacting with the other tables would come check and I could get the correction made and enjoy the burger. This never happened. After another 15min, again having made eye contact with several servers, I took the now ice cold burger to the bar and let them know I wanted a refund. I was pretty disgusted at this point as this experience was such a departure from the usually great service I received. The waiter simply asked if I'd already closed out and I indicated yes. He walked away, no apology, no effort to make it right, no recognition at all that maybe there was a failure on several levels, just walked away and began to clean. I sat back down and finished my work and before I left I confirmed that they had refunded my check. He replied "yep" and went on cleaning. At no time did the manager who was walking around offer any level of attempt to make it right.
This experience was abysmal to say the least and I'm still just honestly surprised and trying to figure out what happened or how I appeared to your staff that made them treat me with complete disregard and honestly rudeness. I hardly spoke with them at all, there was not an opportunity, and when I did I am always kind and very non-confrontational and tip well as I am in the service industry myself and don't ever want to be "that customer/guest".
I probably won't be returning to this location again and I can say with complete certainty that you have lost the business I gave to this location as I cannot trust that when I bring friends, family, coworkers, or clients here that we won't experience this type of treatment, which would cause me great embarrassment.
I hope some changes can be made and as a native Austinite who takes every opportunity possible to champion a local home grown brand I'm sorry I've lost a cool place to spend a few hours getting work done with good food and nice servers.

Read moreIf you've ever been to a great bakery, you probably keep going back for that decadent deliciousness that comes from scratch-made, rich and creamy ingredient recipes that are almost as good as what grandma used to make. I'd love to say that Easy Tiger fits this description, but I visited the South Austin location for dinner in March 2021 and it was barely as good as a grocery store bakery.
Of course you're not going to find a five course meal menu at a bakery, but their selection of sandwiches is quite small - about a 12 to 15. I decided to try the "Cajun Chicken Sausage sandwich proudly served on easy sausage bun." For $9.50, you might expect this to be larger than a store-bought hot dog. Thus begins the disappointment, and you haven't even tasted it yet. Their specialty bun was quite nondescript, bland if you will. And no larger than a normal hot dog bun. The sausage was tasty, and larger than a typical weiner, he said carefully. The relish was in one single clump right in the middle, and was covering the smallest possible dollap of cream cheese which was not nearly enough to spread across this bun to salvage any hope of that rich bakery flavor it so lacked.
The side of crispy Brussel sprouts was tasty, but a bit dry and without any hint of "we just made this for you" instead seemed more likely to have been scooped out of today's large cauldron. The other meals at the table were equally unimpressive, dry, and bland.
After finishing dinner, we asked our waitstaff how the brownies were. As she struggled to put the right words together, we should have taken that as a hint that it was nothing special. But, being one of less than a dozen things that were billed under sweet pastries, we ordered a round for the table. Wouldn't you love to have a moist, rich & creamy, warm brownie that just melts in your mouth and makes you want another? Yeah, me too. But what you get is something served cold that looks like Randall's made a few days ago and sat out in the grocery store waiting for someone to buy it.
I will give Easy Tiger another try sometime, and hope it fares better. I suspect they were great with one or two locations, but lost quality control or true concern for customer satisfaction beyond that now. I really don't like forking out about $25 apiece for a meal that is marginally above fast-food quality.
The view at this location is great from the upper deck. ...
Read moreFirst off, I'll say that I enjoy their sourdough bread from HEB. I know there's a location closer to me but we happen to be in South Austin and I asked Curry when she'd like to eat at. We saw easy tiger as we were driving back to downtown as she said. Let's give it a stop.
Nestled in the back behind a research clinic. Parking may be limited.
Open the front doors and you're greeted with a segmented line and waiting area.
Behind the glass you see various hangings of breads. The large pretzels really drew my eye. There is different types of breads scattered around the corners and this is where you can pick up or place it to go order.
We were seated and noticed that there's more outside seating than there is inside. Not a problem with the weather like it is, but we chose to stay inside.
We started off with the deviled eggs as an appetizer though it did come out with the meal so there was no separation or time to enjoy it separately. We would have liked to have had 10 minutes to enjoy it and be given the items as courses as opposed to One lump serving.
We went with the sample platter and a side of coleslaw and we asked for a pretzel replacement instead of the bread but they served both.
Pastrami brisket Pepper cheese sausage pork And turkey. I want to tell you right now it was fantastic. I actually gave it to you in the order that I liked it and here's why.
Pastrami biscuit- it was so moist and it basically just fell apart but the burnt ends were so flavorful. 10 out of 10
The sausage it snapped it had a good shoe and then it melted in your mouth. 9 out of 10
The pork was a very nice moist. Not chewy at all cut. 8/10
The turkey was moist. I prefer mine a little more dry and the seasoning didn't really do too much for my experience.
6/10
We are actually stuffed and did not get a chance to get any desserts or any type of specialty drinks. I didn't think it would be a lot of food but it ended up being a lot of food.
Overall the food was great. Definitely check it out. Not sure what the service would be like when it's more busy but for the most part I get it. I think there is a shift change which caused the first server to rush my food order so they could leave and ultimately had to close out with a second waitress.
Oh, a bird flew in and...
