This should be one of the worst korean resturant that I've ever been to. The service was way below my expectation. We were supposed to get separate side dish for each dish but we didn't get that, so one of my friend asked the server to get us the refill as all of us were sharing the same side dish and guess what he got yelled for asking the refill. She told him that they already gave us enough and they were almost out of that. Like seriously? I mean she could have explained the same thing in nicer way. Everyone who were dining there could hear this conversation because she was so loud and rude. Moreover, she didn't even care to return back to check on us but we could clearly see her going in other table. What's more frustrating is we waited so long just to get our cheque and noone seemed to care so one of my another friend had to go to the counter by himself to pay for our food and there they were standing shamelessly and asking to tip them after all that happend. Also both the quality and quantity of the food was not that good. Highly...
Read moreWhen I craved Korean food after a particularly difficult doctor's appointment I wasn't expecting my soul to be filled as well as my belly.
The food is stellar, and that's not just because I hadn't eaten all day, the kimchi was just hot enough to make your nose run, but not so hot that you couldn't enjoy the rest of the meal's flavors and textures. By the way, if you like fried rice, get the kimchi fried rice, it's amazing, and the fried egg on top is perfect.
I guess I'd caught the proprietors off guard, asking for an iced coffee. I don't speak Korean, but I could tell I had asked for something not normally on the menu. Honestly though, what they made was so good they should absolutely add it to the menu, they could run Starbucks out of business!
The atmosphere was wonderful, towards the end of the meal I seemed to be the only customer there, and the employees were taking the lull to enjoy their lunch, and not for a second did I ever feel unwelcome.
All in all, if you want an amazing lunch in a wonderful atmosphere,...
Read more4 stars for food freshness, it arrived hot. Taste was a bit bland except one dish was overly salty.
1 star for the waitress who was harsh and rude and originally sat us at a dirty table. When I noticed the table and seat were dirty I asked for a towel and she brought one to clean the table then exclaimed, "I didn't clean this one yet!" but that's where she told us to sit. Ugh.
She pointed to another table, we sat there. About 10 minutes later a roach climbed off the wall onto our table. Not a pretty sight. 1 star for that experience.
The banchan were all right, the kimchi was bland but the potatoes were tasty. The rest (we got five kinds of banchan) were all right.
The kimchi tofu soup was okay. I should have asked for spicier, I think that would have made it tastier.
Overall, I might give it one more try. Maybe.
