I can no longer support Little Woodrow’s because of their ongoing turtle races on Thursday nights. Forcing these animals to race while the DJ screams profanities and encourages an atmosphere of aggression for entertainment is just insane. Watching these turtles suffer for a few laughs or a free beer was disturbing, and several people around me felt uncomfortable. South Austin is a creative and progressive community, and many other bars have found ethical, fun ways to entertain patrons without exploiting animals. It’s time for Little Woodrow’s to follow suit. I hope management reconsiders this inhumane practice and puts an end to it. Until then, I won’t be returning, and I encourage others who care about animal welfare to do the same.

Great place for a drink and sports. They have 15+ TVs and plenty of seating inside and out. The only negative is they don’t serve food. They are attached to the Brooklyn Pie Company so they allow you to order and bring that food in, but they don’t have typical bar food. They have happy hour every day of the week with daily specials and Friday it has extended hours. There’s also live music and arcade games at this location.

I loved coming to Little Woodrow’s. I go there almost every other day. That was until last night during New Girl trivia. I bring my puffco peak every time I go to LW and I left it at a table for about 5-10 minutes while I greet a friend and welcome them to the bar. When I came back and saw that it was gone, I thought okay maybe another customer took it my bad. But the couple next to the table said that the waitress took it after they told her it was worth a lot of money. I ask the waitress, and she says she threw it away. Now, why would she “throw away” a $300 piece? I ask her if I could look through the trash since it was JUST thrown away, and she goes and talks in secret with her other bartenders. Then, she comes back and says it’s already thrown out in the dumpsters outside the bar. How in 10-15 mins could the trash be filled up and then thrown out? So I go to the dumpsters and saw that there was no trash inside. Just a few boxes. The waitress straight up lied to me. Probably stole my $300 piece. I asked to speak to the manager to check the cameras, and to surprise, there is no manager that night. Sam tells me the manager LEE will check cameras and call me, but they never did. I called so many times today and no one has answered. So sad that such a loved place presumably potentially stole from me and no one is giving me answers. I just want to see the camera to see if she...

It's dog friendly. My Chihuahua Oscar, aka "Pup Pup," likes to get out into the world with me and I will go out of my way to frequent establishments that allow my little friend to join me.

Secondly, they feature multiple Texas beers like 512 and Karbachs. As a pretentious beer snob, I overlook places where I cannot sample and enjoy the product of the fine beer craftsmen of Texas. They even go as far to have Monday night as their $3 Tx beer so I can get all my snobby favorites for cheap. So they are a definite winner in this category.

Lastly, I have my name on the wall. Big 50. Ask about it.

It also has large patios, multiple tv's, live music, midget wrestling, daily specials, a pizza place that is next door with a very friendly green haired girl, and a fire pit when it's cold.

It's a definite go-have-a-beer-with-friends type of place but you may be slightly dissatisfied being here on the weekends if you like the...

Never have I ever experienced what I did here, went in on a Tuesday with coworkers got the first round served immediately, second round perfect, then came third round and the bartender let my coworker know I was not being served anymore, I was completely sober and very confused as to why I was being cut off. When I asked the bartender why I was being cut off she said “someone else cut you off” no explanation not even a look in the eyes. My coworkers and I left very confused, then to come find out this same bartender cut off my co-workers friend right after me who so happen to also be an apparent part of the lgbt+ community. I was not acting erratic and or was I out of conduct or control, my outfit was modest yet could tell I did not blend in with the rest of the patrons. If this establishment does not welcome people of all walks of life I will let it be...
