Lone Star Kolaches — Restaurant in Austin

Order incorrect. Items missing but charged. Items in case incorrectly placed leading to employee grabbing from the stack labeled as what we ordered but us not getting what we ordered. Cashier put three of our four kolaches in a paper bag, took our money, asked if we wanted the items heated up and then just through the whole bag into the microwave for 30 seconds. Made the items we did get wet on the bottom, stuck to each other, and still ice cold inside. Kolaches with egg were basically a cold, dense, wet, baseball of egg. Friendly staff but poor food quality & handling - poor service. Had to stop somewhere else to get something for the person in our party whose food was missing. They were the lucky ones. Ordered online for delivery. Restaurant did substitutions for less expensive items but did not correct payment amount. I've had other restaurants call me when they were out of an item and ask me what I'd like to do. This restaurant does not have any written notice they will substitute, regardless, not to correct the price is unacceptable. Four separate items were substitutes and an additional item was wrong. To add insult, the food is mediocre. I had shopped at another location long ago and wasn't a fan. So, this was to see if they had improved over the years. Nope! I just don't get any excitement about this food. Never again. Unethical business practices along with mediocre food...

I work at several offices throughout the city, so I've tried a few Lone Star Kolaches locations. The one down in South Austin is awesome, and everything is always excellent down there. This particular location off of 183, however, is just okay. I often order a Chubby mixed in with a few other types, but the Chubby at 183 is noticeably lacking in bacon. Additionally, the potatoes in several of there buns can be undercooked. The other locations do a much better job of consistency and taste. I actually live closest to the 183 location, but I may start trekking out to the Parmer location if I want a Lone Star fix on...
