Lumi's Crepes — Restaurant in Austin

I’ve been to Lumi’s Crepes multiple times for their Dubai Chocolate Cup and usually loved it. Once, I even showed up early in the evening before their official opening (Google had incorrect store timings), but the Uncle at the shop was so sweet and still gave us the cups — that left a really good impression.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the complete opposite. The portion of chocolate was noticeably less than usual, so I politely asked about it. The person at the counter (I believe his name was Hasan) got agitated and gave contradictory explanations — saying this is the “usual” but also that they change it based on feedback. He then tried to demonstrate using another cup, but tossed it aside dismissively. When I suggested adding more chocolate, he sarcastically asked, “What do you want me to do now?” and only after some back and forth did he reluctantly give us extra chocolate in a separate cup.

This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The product itself is great, but I don't think I’ll be coming...

I couldn’t resist diving into the much-hyped pistachio chocolate creation. Let me just say, it almost hit all the right notes. The sweetness was on point, and the presentation was Instagram-worthy—no complaints there. However, as someone who lives for bold flavors, I was hoping for a stronger pistachio presence. It was more of a subtle whisper than a flavorful shout. And while the texture was smooth, I found myself craving a bit more crunch to balance it out. On the bright side, the generous heap of fresh strawberries was a delightful surprise—juicy, sweet, and perfectly ripe. 🍓✨

Overall, this experience left me intrigued to return for other menu items. The menu clearly has more gems waiting to be discovered, and I’m ready to taste-test my way through it. Stay tuned for part two of this dessert adventure! 🍫😋

Please let me state... this is a real gem of a place! My boyfriend and I went here as a midnight excursion. It was past midnight, and they were still open!! First, they are located across the way from iPic theater. It could be missed if you did not come from that direction. Second, it is a food truck. There is no real shade. Therefore, be prepared to take it to go so you do not roast under the hot Texas sun during the day. Third, they did such an amazing job decorating it. I got the triple chocolate waffle and my partner for it in crepe form. The flavors and care they put in it is out of this world! I've been in food service, and none of my tenured staff bothered to do this level of presentation!! 10/10! Highly recommend!! Waffle was light and crispy, and crepe was not gewy! Love! Love! Love!...
