Another opportunity for everyone's favorite 🌎 traveler to review an establishment! Just (2) weeks ago, the city of Austin, Texas, had the opportunity to host your favorite 🌎 traveler! I had heard of "Luna" but did not know the establishment by name. But through a quick search of what I typically 👀 for as "upscale "nightclubs?" This establishment seemed to fit my prerequisite. Upon arriving at this establishment between (11-12) p.m. on a Saturday, there was a pretty "lengthy" line to gain admission into the venue! "That is usually a good indicator?" of the "validity" of an establishment. I exited my Uber and positioned myself and my companion for entrance to the establishment. This is when I observed "David," who I would believe to be the venues "manager or concierge?" I must admit that he was a very "point marriott" type of guy! Upon our first initial interaction, he recognized that I needed the "5 🌟" treatment, to which he quickly obliged! As a famous lyrical poet once said......... "IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW............." Once I gained entrance to the cashier, it was such a delight to find out one of the "hostesses" was from "Michigan!" Shout out to "Flint, Michigan!" They understood, just as well as "David" that I would be one of their more upper "eschalon" guest of the evening! This is a well-appointed rooftop venue. The establishment did get packed with the level of ambiance that I am expected to! The ladies were in their best Saturday night apparell, and I must say that the "men" probably should subscribe to my "How to dress like a Man" blog & channel! The night was filled with great 🎶 selections from the D.J! Who happened to be an "exquisite lady" on the 🛞's of steel! There was a continuous flow of sparklers due to the 🍾 service flow! I am not a pricing "police" so basically if there was something that I wanted that night, I acquired it! Security was very vigilant and visible the entire evening with no issues to report. All in all , I am here to report another "5 🌟" experience from everyone's favorite 🌎 traveler! "David" reach out to me so I can set up an opportunity for my entire "entourage" so they can take on this "5 🌟" experience that you provided for me and my...
Read moreRented out a VIP table for a friend’s bachelor party, when we showed up they did not have us on the reservation list. Which we had booked weeks in advance and even got confirmation 24 hours before. Waited 20-30 minutes to finally get a table then after 5 minutes of being at the table we had to move because we were at the “owners” table and they were going to show up that night. We were told we would be compensated for our troubles and their mistakes with a discount on drinks/bottle. If the owner truly was there I would think they would be notified about the multiple mistakes that the staff had made that night and attempt to make things right… NOPE! After being there for an hour and spending well over $2000 we went to figure out what we would be “compensated” for, for our troubles and their mistakes they said “it was busy tonight so we can’t do anything sorry”. Staff was all around rude very little attentiveness, very very poor communication and lying to customers. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting pee all over the toilet seat, floor and who knows where else, trash on the counters. I’ve never see such a disgusting bathroom. Not to mention the bathroom attendants who just yell at you. Music is repetitive no real talent just the same beat over and over. For the amount of money spent of a VIP section I was very disappointed and overall disgusted with the place. If you or anyone you know is thinking of booking VIP section for a bachelor, bachelorette, birthday party or anything else, go somewhere this place is an armpit with little to nothing to offer other than an extremely expensive bill for cheap liquor, terrible music, rude staff, and promises that are just outright lies. 0/5 Stars by far the most disappointing place I’ve...
Read moreI rarely write reviews for bars, but this place truly deserves one – and not in a good way.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was off-putting. The hostess at the entrance was unnecessarily rude when I asked a simple question. First impressions matter, and if that’s how you’re greeted, it sets the tone for the rest of the night. I’ve worked in nightlife myself, so I know how challenging it can be dealing with drunk guests, but there’s no excuse for being dismissive and unprofessional right at the door.
Once inside, things didn’t improve. The bartenders were equally rude. We had friends arriving later, so we stepped over to check the line from the upstairs area. Apparently, that’s not allowed – but instead of calmly telling us, a bartender decided to start shouting across the bar. We’d only had one drink at that point, so it’s not like we couldn’t hear him. When my boyfriend politely said, “Hey, no need to scream,” that somehow escalated to security being called.
The most absurd part? Security came over and said we had “threatened to kick the bartender’s ass,” which was absolutely false. It was a ridiculous overreaction that turned what should have been a fun night into a waste of time.
This place just opened and already feels like a joke – poor customer service, hostile staff, and honestly, the music wasn’t even that good.
There are plenty of great rooftops and bars in Austin that actually value their guests. I would strongly recommend avoiding Luna Rooftop until they figure out how to train their staff on basic hospitality and...
