I am late in writing this review, but it's better late than never. I don't know what the other reviewers of this establishment experienced when they ordered/ate pizza from Niki's, but I know that my pizza was horrible. I am by no means a pizza snob, but I literally threw one entire pizza away, and that was AFTER I PAID ALMOST $50 BUCKS TO HAVE IT DELIVERED BY A 3rd PARTY! The first big issue was the amount of grease that these pizzas contained. They were literally like little POOLS of grease with a crust to hold it all in. The crust on the bottom of the pizzas stood no chance, and was soaked clear through with grease; which, made eating the pizza a disgusting mess. Before I could even attempt to eat the pieces I did manage to tamp down, I had to use 4 paper towels just to soak up the grease that was on top of the pizza. Additionally, I ordered a caesar salad with my pizzas and it had powdered parmesan cheese on it, and some of the lettuce was clearly going bad -_- ... Come'on! I mean, even salads at UT's Littlefield Cafe have real grated parmesan on them! Finally, the pizzas I received had the thinnest crust I'd ever seen on a "hand tossed" pizza. If I wanted thin crust, I would've gone to Austin's. Overall, if you couple the buckets of grease on each pizza, with the thin "hand tossed" crust, and the shabby salad you have a complete and total fail. Maybe my order was a fluke, but I highly doubt it. My recommendation is to save your money, and have Sarpino's delivered. Other valid options are Costco pizza, or Papa Murphy's Take-n-Bake Pizza. Anything has to be better than what I received...
Read moreThe atmosphere really sells the joint. It's cozy, quiet, and comfortable. I haven't tried the various other menu items like subs, pasta, or calzone (just to name a few) yet, but I can evaluate what you'll no doubt be here for. The slices are served piping hot and with the toppings embedded nicely into each one. The most dominant factor is the cheese, each kind can be tasted in a single bite, while the toppings compliment it to your liking. Once I was done with my two slices I found myself already reminiscing on the meal. The pricing is completely fair with excellent combo setups, so I guarantee that you are getting your money's worth. It's a thin crust style pizza with great cheese, so if that suits you, this is absolutely perfect. Personally I prefer deep dish with extra sauce, so preference alone warrants this an initial 3/5 for me. However, the undeniable authenticity and freshness of the ingredients in addition to the genuine atmosphere and look of the restaurant itself earns Niki's a 4/5. I definitely intend on visiting here again and would recommend a dine in for any one even...
Read moreFood was so incredibly mid. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and then the mozzarella bread. The Alfredo was alright; the seasoning didn’t seem to be cooked in. It tasted like it was just sprinkled on top after it was heated up, and the sheer amount of it furthered that idea. The chicken was very salty, which was both a negative and positive thing because it really provided the only flavor to the pasta. The garlic mozzarella bread was really lacking in flavor. The mozzarella wasn’t melted all the way through so it was very disappointing. I ordered a ranched for .50 extra cents which I did not receive. And the marinara sauce was really lacking in any special qualities. The garlic knots that came with the pasta were burnt and inedible. At the end of the day the garlic knots from Walmart in the bakery are better, the garlic bread from H-E-B is better, the jarred marinara is better, and you’re better off cooking your own fettuccine. Also, this was 25 dollars, which feels crazy for...
