Read moreNah, I won't be eating there again. I ordered through Too Good To Go and it became clear they don't understand the point behind the app. I pay nearly $7 and they gave me their regular $8 chicken and rice dish w/no sides (their most basic option). I thought there might be a side, some kind of veg, but no. It wasn't very good anyway- rather dry, not enough sauce, rice was okay consistency but not enough flavor. The point of this program is to move product, not to fool people. If you aren't given a real meal as advertised, then don't bother participating in the program.
Edit in reply to owner's reply: Thank you for correcting me and further proving my point. The menu has one chicken leg listed at $8- no sides, no rice, and it's not even decent.
You are wrong that this is not the right platform to review my Too Good To Go order as sometimes people check these reviews before they order on that platform and I am reviewing what I received from the restaurant, not the app, so this is exactly the right place my thoughts. You review an app in regards to malfunctions and errors. I am reviewing what I received from you quiet, slow, boring-menu of a restaurant. You are right there is no $8 chicken and rice plate, I see that now. You are bold enough to charge $8 for one piece of chicken with no rice or sides. YOU misunderstand the point of the point. It says in the app that a person gets 3x what they are paying, the consumer is getting food at a good discount and the restaurant is saving from waste. So explain to me how it is fair I paid $7 and got an $8 chicken leg and some rice? And it's a bit funny you that "invite" me to...
Read moreI was super excited to find a Portuguese-inspired Peri Peri restaurant with such a good rating. I made an order for dinner for the family through their Toast delivery, which is directly with Peri Peri Republic not a third party.
It was expected at 7:00pm with the latest delivery time for 7:29pm. I called in at 7:34pm because nothing had arrived and looking at the status it said that a driver still had not picked it up. I asked when the food was ready and he said it was done at 6:45pm. He said that he just called Uber direct to pick up the order but it would be another 30min for delivery at 8:00pm when I looked at the website status it said estimated arrival at 8:21pm.
At this point I am beside myself with the entire family upset (3 kids starving) and I asked if the food was good to eat.
He said that it had been sitting under a heat lamp since, and food quality was definitely not the same. The fries would be soggy for sure and possibly the other sides, but the chicken would still be edible.
After hearing that and just how upset I was, I said I wanted to cancel (by this time my wife was so upset, wrecking my evening entirely).
The worker took my name and number, but I have not heard back. This has been nothing but a complete disappointment. I cannot comment on the food, but the service and the experience was just the worst and we are hungry and upset at that.
I personally ran two Dairy Queens for 14 years and this is not how to run a business where delivery is an important part of business and delivery customers matter. Service is just as if not more important than the food. No calls, no refund,...
