The Bistec tacos here are absolutely outstanding. Hands down some of the best I've had. The free and freshly fried, well-seasoned tortilla chips are consistently excellent, and the restaurant is always clean and welcoming. Overall, we truly enjoy dining here.
However, I do have a few concerns that are worth noting for both management and potential customers:
First, this is not an inexpensive place to eat. Most individual options range from $15 to $16 or more per person. At that price, I find it disappointing that pico de gallo was removed from the salsa bar. It used to be included, but now it's only available in a VERY small portion for an extra added charge. It feels like a cost-cutting move that doesn't align with the pricing. I would rather see a modest price increase than see staple items like this diminish. The salsa bar is OVERLY loaded with salsas, so wouldn't it make more sense to trim the excessive amounts of salsa and bring back a very popular option like pico de gallo that people actually WANT? When you make decisions, make it make sense.
The second issue is with customer service which can be hit or miss depending on who is working. Most of the staff are friendly, attentive and professional. I appreciate the service they provide. However, there is this one male employee whose demeanor is consistently indifferent or downright dismissive. His apathy DRAINS ME. He rarely acknowledges customers and doesn't offer the same courtesy and attentiveness as the other team members. While I understand everyone has different personalities, hospitality is a key part of the dining experience and this person could use instruction from management to provide a little more courtesy and professionalism. It's expensive out here...so making customers feel valued keeps business. Fix homeboy's attitude.
I share this feedback not to be harsh because this restaurant has so much going for it, but missteps matter. A few small changes could easily take the overall experience from good to...
Read moreI finally had an opportunity to stop here, after driving by for months.
I had the 4pc, my mini had the loaded potato. And damn, the portion sizes here are legit. There’s no way I wanted to even try to finish all the chicken and sides in a single sitting, and the mini is going to be eating that potato through tomorrow probably. He got the Barbacoa on it, and loved it.
I had the BBQ chicken, but in retrospect for the first visit I should have tried the original. BBQ was really good though. I enjoyed the sides as well.
The chips and the salsa and also quite good, but the hot salsa was maybe a bit less nuclear than I expected.
The facility is spacious, clean, and well-lit. Bathrooms are clean as well. The staff here are all extremely pleasant.
Overall, I would say that the very high rating from others is...
Read moreI don’t remember being in this Pollo Regio location before, but I’m glad I did, the place is spacious and clean
The service is top notch, Odaly and Nataly took great care of me and my friends, always attentive and super friendly
I ordered a torta with pastor and bistec, and it was amazing, never have I had a torta (or a burger) with this much guacamole, I was in disbelief, hearty and delicious
The fries are seasoned and crispy good, and their “Totopos” (chips) are crunchy good, I wish they were like that everywhere else
Their salsas are on point, and the aguas frescas are just like that: FRESCAS, specially the Jamaica (hibiscus), my favorite
I’m definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu, particularly the Chicken Flautas, they look...
