The manager who works at this location is absolutely terrible and is beyond rude. So I went in around 5pm that day, to place and order of food for my manager and I for lunch. My order was simple, two Beefy 5-Layer Burritos with no sour cream and two Bean Burritos with no onions. However my managers order, wasn't that easy only because they are no longer doing her tacos she wanted. So I placed the first half of her order, which was one Taco and tried calling her. I got my order, but I stood off to the side trying to call her because if I leave she's only get one Taco. In the end, I left and went back to work. I took a bite and got a mouth full of sour cream and tortilla. I absolutely loathe sour cream, I detest the taste of it and I find it absolutely disgusting. So I stood up, spat it out of my mouth into the trash can and washed my mouth out in the sink. I gave my manager my 5-layers because she actually likes sour cream. The bean burritos also has onions, however that's not a deal breaker like sour cream is. I tried calling shortly after, but no one answers the phone there. It doesn't matter what time you call, that phone isn't going to get answered. So after work, I went back to Taco Bell to tell them what happened. I greeted the manager who was working the front register "Hi, I was in here earlier and I placed an order but it wasn't made correctly. She snatched the receipt from my hand and said "Well what was wrong with it?" I explained "I asked for no sour cream, and no onions and got both of those on my burritos." She squinted her eyes and asked "You were in here earlier, weren't you?" Naturally if I had a receipt saying I was, and started off the conversation saying I was in here earlier, one can naturally assume I was there today. So I answered yes. She then told me "Yeah, they said you were in here for awhile and ate your food but still were standing in here. But I guess it was wrong and now you want free food." took my receipt and went to the back. I was appalled by what she said, I was disrespected and frankly felt embarrassed because she excused me of making up a story for free food in front of people waiting for their food behind me. I just stood off to the side, and tried not making eye contact with anyone else in the restaurant behind me. I actually would have taken my food and left and not made a big fuss about it... until I hear her talking crap about me, in front of me to her coworkers. She's telling them "He was in here earlier and ate his food, but now he's back saying it's wrong and wants free dinner." That's when I had enough, she's lying because I didn't eat my food until I got to work, I was only there for awhile waiting for my manager to answer the phone. So I told her, that's not true and I didn't eat my food here I ate it at work, only half of it because I can't eat sour cream. She looked at me and said "whatever." and went back to talking to her coworkers. I was so livid by her actions, and the worst part is she's the manager! That's example she's setting for her team, and that's the customer service to be expected. Needless to say, I will reach out to whoever I can reach out to and I will complain to every single person I can complain to. No one should ever disrespect someone like that, let alone accuse...
Read moreTL;DR: Asked about a drink Taco Bell used to serve, got yelled at by the manager to the point where my gf had a panic attack.
Did my annual Taco Bell run. Saw on social media post that they served a version of the Baja blast with alcohol in it, so I asked about it at the order station/drive thru. The worker said they didn’t offer it, so I asked if they would know what’s in it and my follow up was where/which Taco Bell would have it.
Then PJ, the manager, jumps on the headset and starts having a fit. He yelled at me for a good few minutes, repeating the same thing: “Why are you asking about alcohol to a minor?!” I had to ask him multiple times to calm down so we could have a conversation, and because I was worried about my girlfriend (who has anxiety regarding men raising their voices around her due to some past experiences).
First, I had no idea the worker was a minor. Even still, minors are allowed to talk about alcohol. 18 year olds are allowed to serve it. There’s no way I could have known this employee’s age. Second, I was going to drop it the second they told me that Taco Bell Cantinas are the only locations that serve it. Instead of answering my question, the manager just proceeded to say I should know the majority of Taco Bell workers are minors, and that the Taco Bell’s that serve the alcohol Baja blast have been closed for almost a year. He then added that they’ve had issues with minors stealing alcohol at those locations.
That’s unfortunate of course, but not something I (or anyone) would know off the top of my head. I just wanted some tacos and a Baja blast. By this point, my girlfriend was already extremely uncomfortable. This progressed to the point where she had a panic attack a few minutes after we left.
PJ, go talk to HR or to corporate, don’t yell at a customer that’s trying to get information about an item that Taco Bell used to serve. And keep in mind that not everyone knows the full history of Taco Bell, the statistics of who works there, and the intricacies of the business. Hilariously, I still had to drive by the window after the interaction. When I did, PJ was no where in sight, but the drive thru worker was, mouthing “I’m so sorry”. To the drive thru worker, I’m so sorry you had to deal with that, and please know you did nothing wrong. I’m sorry you have to work under such a childish and...
Read moreWorst visit to any Taco Bell ever. No one at counter. One girl insisted I use the order kiosk, though I already had. I was going to pay cash; you can't exactly do that at the kiosk, but based on her attitude, she probably didn't care about that, either. Once finally clued, she took my money. I bought a box meal, but had to ask for a cup when she plopped my order on the counter. Medium cup? Must be another recent change. When I got home and opened the box, much to my disappointment, the amount of nacho fries was paltry, and I think they use stale Cheeto and Nacho Cheese Dorito bits found beneath sofa cushions. In the bin they went. Unwrapped a taco. Someone sure assumed i love lettuce. What "meat stuff" they put in was as generous [sarc] amount as the fries, and the only cheese on it looked like it must have fallen off her gloves from putting together something else. The other taco was the same - a lettuce taco. What little mystery meat mix there was in them was cold. I guess they weren't aware that food should be hot. The other item included is supposed to be one of the new things with a taco inside what they call a chalupa. This time, the ad shows more goodies than the last time they brought this creation to the menu. Hah! Mine was some floppy thing comprised of yet another lettuce taco shoved inside a flour tortilla with a few flecks of cheese. I didn't look further, as I tossed all of it in the bin. The name of the place is Taco Bell. You'd think that they would know how to make a decent taco. The only worse taco I've ever had was one of those greasy, chewy ones from Jack. I'm told they are like that everywhere. Wow. Guess nobody in fast food knows jack (hah!) about tacos. If you like Taco Bell, avoid this location. I was willing to give them the benefit of it being g just a bad staff day, but it was nearly this bad the two previous times. I reckon the problem starts above management level. I gave this one star, and that's...
