Taco Cabana — Restaurant in Austin

Ordered like usual and for some reason I got 2 sides of sour cream…..it supposed to come with one side of guacamole and one side of sour cream. If you ran out it is courtesy to explain that mi gente and compensate for the loss. I am very well informed about the supply chain and cost of an avacado and that goes into the price of 11.90 two sour creams does not make up for the loss of one guacamole. I don’t eat sour cream with my quesadillas. Second the tortilla was not cooked through it was soft instead of crispy. And for the reviews about the manager which I assume they mean the gentleman with glasses who can be very short with people, I don’t think it is intentional and personally I don’t have a problem with it because when he is there he typically runs a tight ship from what I can see but when he isn’t which I didn’t see him tonight things aren’t as tight. But I’m from the neighborhood I left for awhile up north in Chicago and yknow things move faster there and people aren’t overly nice like down here but personally I see no problem with his short mannerisms. I probably come here once every other week sometimes twice a week and I order the same thing...

Cartoonishly disorganized. My last three visits…

Left before ordering. Two people in line in front of me. No orders taken in 7 minutes. The restaurant didn’t have many people in it and people were walking around doing things, but with no apparent results.

Left during ordering. Only person in line and someone came to take my order after around 4 minutes, but then walked away without a word to try to help fix an order that had clearly been fouled up repeatedly (the customer: “they messed it up again!”). I waited another 3 minutes or so, but then left to the Burnett location and got prompt service.

Made sure no one was in line or at the counter before trying again. Order taken reasonably quickly. Ordered beef tacos, got shrimp tacos. I asked if I had received someone else’s order and they confirmed I had and ran off to fix the other order. Instead of having them redo the order, I just ate the shrimp tacos and drank my very flat soda (something's clearly wrong with the soda machine).

Ok let me first start by saying it is not the place i remember. Let me say i am truly disappointed I ordered the three beef enchilada plate and my boyfriend ordered the cabana sampler. It took over 20 minutes for us to get our food. When our food finally arrived the beans were cold and the oreder was wrong he was supposed to get a cheese enchilada no sour cream he got chicken that was cold and sour cream all over the enchilada.the rice was ok.there was no cheese on my enchilada at alland both plates were full of grease. We paid $24.30 and could not eat most of the food. We ended up throwing away most of the plates. When we ordered the food the cashier was very rude. We both had really bad stomach aches late in the day and threw up. Huge disappointment.
