ThunderCloud Subs — Restaurant in Austin

I got the American Classic and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious, as usual. I did find out that they actually have alfalfa sprouts! Right after the gentleman preparing my sandwich had it all rolled up and stuffed in a bag I was lamenting about how you can’t get fresh alfalfa sprouts anymore because I used to always get them added to my sandwich, and he reached over to one of his trays behind the counter and held up a handful! Too late this time but I am surely getting them added to my sandwich next time! Being one of the oldest, if not, the oldest in ThunderCloud Subs, still standing the atmosphere is great, because not much has changed in the past 35+ years that I have been eating here other than a nice refresh to the exterior. I want to just say that I am a BIG time Thundercloud fan. I have been a frequent customer of many locations for 30 years.

With that, I need to say something about this specific location: something is wrong with the way this location stores/manages their bread. The location in Austin I most frequent is S Lamar & Menchaca, even though this Riverside location is closest to where I live. I have no idea what's going on with this location, but the bread they use here is always MUSHY. The texture/firmness of it is always way off and this is not a singular experience. It has been this way on multiple occasions, when I don't have time to make it to a different location. Management needs to come together to figure out why the bread at this location is never right.
