Ana was amazing and her honesty and candor about why I was treated the way I was upon walking in and asking to muse the restroom but being denied until only after I completed my ordering online was appreciated!!! Upon being stranded across the street at la Quinta after a fight w my boyfriend, bags and puppy in tow.... I came across the street to wait for a ride and buy some food while waiting! I had to go to the restroom tho very bad and being a female with FEMALE ISSUES IT WAS A PRESSING MATTER TO SAY THE LEAST!!! The guy at the front register gave me a look up n down and with a half sneer didn't even respond to my asking him for the restroom code. Picking up on the vibe, I said , "sir I am going to buy food I just really REALLY NEED TO GET TO THE RESTROOM ASAP!...." NOT wanting to give him all the gritty details and hoping he could sense the urgency and have some compassion, he just plainly said " after you buy something....." LOL.... AS HE HAD THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM AND MY URINARY HEALTH AMONG OTHER THINGS LAID IN HIS HANDS, I tried to order as fast as I possibly could!!!! Upon completion of the order I placed via my app, I showed him the confirmation and then asked again with a lil more urgency to PLEASE be allowed in the restroom!!! He said reluctantly...."ok... BUT TO USE THE RESTROOM ONLY!!!!!" LMAO!!! SMH I walked to the restroom halfway wanted to snap back and ask him what else did he think I was going to be doing in there and if the lil potty dance/jig indicated that I was going to be doing anything else BUT using the restroom!!?? The icing on the cake was when I got done using the restroom FINALLY and was waiting for the food, and a man who just walked in and hadn't ordered or indicated he was going to order was IMMEDIATELY LET INTO THE RESTROOM NO QUESTIONS ASKED NO DEMANDS TO PLACE AN ORDER FIRST!!!! ANA was so sweet when she brought my food and when I asked her about that she said it's upon "DISCRETION" HOW THEY HANDLE THE RESTROOM!! So they will basically profile you and deem whether or not you are worthy to be allowed to use the facilities or not, even as a paying customer! I just thought it was incredibly unfair and biased to treat one person this way and literally 5min later give another person amazing preferential treatment. It kinda made me feel worse than I was already feeling having been STRANDED and waiting for my ride after having fought n been broken up with by my boyfriend! And I was VERY uncomfortable in the restroom thinking if I took a minute too long or something would I be scolded further, pre judged or maybe even kicked out ??! Idk maybe I am just reading too much into it BUT in the moment and the ones after that when I saw it was just ME BEING TREATED THAT WAY, it didn't feel...

When I was planning my first trip to Texas, I knew I wanted to try Whataburger. I live in an area where they do not have any locations and love all kinds of burgers and burger places.
I am very happy to report my first visit to Whataburger was a big success. I was so excited to finally be able to try their burgers, so I got a little carried away and ordered a triple.
The burger was huge! I am a hearty eater but even I had trouble finishing the entire triple burger. I had no regrets even though I had to rest after finishing it. The burger was full of beefy, good flavor. I had Whataburger twice on my vacation. The second time, I had a double which was a perfect, large meal for me with the fries.
The fries were crispy and tasty. I love dipping sauces as well as ketchup. It was neat to see all the various sauces you could order with your meal. My favorites were the jalapeno ranch and spicy ketchup.
I had never seen a Dr. Pepper milkshake on a menu before so I treated myself to a small one. It was like having a Dr. Pepper float. I'd order it again.
This is the location we went to for our first Whataburger meal. The staff was clearly working hard that day. The place was busy and there were a lot of cars in the drive through window. But the crew was friendly and nice. The location had a lot of parking and lots of seating.
Overall, for my first Whataburger experience, it was a good one and I would certainly return if the...
Read moreI’ll start by saying I also work in the food industry and have for 10+ years. It looks nice for a whataburger, however the staff is completely incompetent and they all hate themselves and their job. I’ve been here as a DoorDash driver like 5 times now and not once has it been a smooth handoff. It’s been one of the only places I have to wait when I arrive. 5 star restaurants don’t even have that problem. Not only that the staff will just walk by you as you wait at the counter. I usually have to yell to the back and wave someone down. Once I came late at night and it was PACKED. People everywhere and hardly anyone had their food. Me and five other dashers waited at the counter for about 15 minutes until I finally grabbed someone on their way out from the kitchen and she had no choice but to get me the order. Another time they claimed the order had been picked up already. Which may have been true but I can almost guarantee the food was stolen and they refused to make it for me. TWICE now I’ve pulled up and they said they only had one side of the grill and “the drive through was busy”. Again, as a fellow service industry worker, if THAT is busy you are incapable of doing this job well. It’s not hard. That night it was packed? That’s hard, I’ll give them that. But there should be systems in place to prevent people waiting for so long. More staff, a little more multitasking, idk whatever needs to be done. Thankfully I know to avoid this one personally so just putting this here to save the next person some trouble. There’s whataburgers everywhere I promise the few extra minutes to the next one...
