Wings 'N More — Restaurant in Austin

I’ve never been so disrespected in my life! And certainly never experienced racism. I felt both today. Is there such a thing as no ⭐️s?

We’re familiar with the brand. We’ve eaten at this brand but not this particular one. Here’s what happened.

We pull up into the parking lot and immediately my friend says this is odd. Why is everyone parking on the farthest side of the parking lot and no one at the front near the road? I acknowledged. We parked near the road.

We meandered up to the door from midway of the parking lot and entered to see three, maybe four young ladies (appear Hispanic/mexicn) standing at the hostess station. Nothing! I mean, no one said anything. No one said hi, good afternoon, may we help you, would you like a seat blah blah blah—-nothing!!! We simply got stares. And we’ve already established this is a Wings and More. Yes, we were in Austin, Texas. Mexican piped in music blared from the speakers.

You know from my photos I appear Caucasian American. My friend was obviously Asian Indian. We were dressed better than average. A factor??? For us, normal. We stood there for approximately an awkward 20 seconds waiting for some sort of greeting. My friend finally said two please.

One of the hostesses grabbed a couple of menus and took us midway down the side of the establishment where absolutely no one was seated. This felt odd. Why? Because everybody else was on the opposite side. There was a definitive architectural barrier between the two sides. Significant? You decide. On the other side were only Mexican/Hispanics that we could see.

The menus were placed on the table and the hostess immediately left. My friend and I looked at each other and I stated it’s obvious we’re not welcome. I did not feel comfortable to stay. I thought this was a Wings and More chain and obviously it is something else indeed.

So why am I making this post when I’m all about the positive? I wanted others to know that you may not be welcome here and to give the proprietor an opportunity to make a rebuttal.

Definitely a wing place!

I cant speak on any dine-in or takeout experiences as we ordered through a food app. We have never eaten here before, so we weren't sure what to expect going into it. We ordered the wings & ribs feast with wild rice, corn on the cob, potato salad, & cole slaw. Also got the pulled pork sandwich with curly fries.

The chipotle honey mustard sauce was delicious, and the wings were pretty good. Unfortunately the rest of the meal was rather disappointing, especially for the price we paid. The ribs were drenched in sauce and dry, though they were appetizingly fall off the bone! We enjoyed the rice, cole slaw, and potato salad, but the corn on the cob came completely plain with no butter or salt. The quality overall tasted like cafeteria -style food which can be good, but just not what we expected.

The pulled pork sandwich was overly salty, and it came with pickles but the flavor of the sauce clashed with the pickle flavor. I was able to enjoy it more by putting the cole slaw on the sandwich, but unfortunately with the ribs & chicken, the saltiness was too much to finish in one sitting. The fries were dry and bland. I'm sure they taste better fresh out of the frier, so I didn't let that impact my rating, but I don't recommend ordering them for delivery.

Overall I don't feel delivery was worth the price, but some of my complaints could very well have to do with the travel time delivery takes. I can't account for atmosphere or service which can drastically improve an eating experience, and wouldn't say no if someone wanted to eat in. I would probably just stick...

Had a to-go order for wings and fries which were stale, cold not fresh at all, our order of wings had old ones mixed in , the meat chewy and dry! My family and i were in from out of town and were on our way back from austins park so we stopped on the way to take our food to the hotel, my kids who are not even picky complained that the wings were chewy and my daughter didnt even finish her food i had to buy her something else to eat, we decided to call to speak to manager about the situation especially because their wing prices are not cheap at all, manager wouldn’t even get on the phone he had one of his workers talking for him and nothing was done to resolve the issue not even half a refund! I would not recommend this place at all and i hope their corporate office sees this and maybe gives this manager some customer service training. The only thing the worker stated the manager was offering was for us to take the whole order back for store credit when we dont even live near, and our hotel was not near by and i explained that to her to which she would place me on hold to go tell him and would come back on the line stating only thing the manager was offering was to take the “whole” order back for store credit. and when i kindly asked the worker if i could speak directly with him i was put on hold maybe 3 times and supposedly he was in a meeting. Save your money...
