Eat'n Park — Restaurant in Avalon

Our food is being reheated in our oven right now because apparently this place doesnt know how to be a functioning restaurant, we feel like we threw away $30

Ya know when you order takeout, you do it so it's fast and simple. They said our order would take 20 minutes, that was over an hour ago. They were so unorganized,with seemingly no communication. i dont even think they actually started our order before we got there. The place was EMPTY. No rush, and they definitely were not understaffed.

We went to pick up our food 25 minutes after I had gotten off the phone with them (they originally said 15 to 20 minutes). That should have been enough time to finish our order. We got freaking toast and omelettes.

The other 40 minutes were spent waiting for our food. Every time someone came to the front to see what we were standing there for I told them we were waiting on a takeout order, gave them my name, and then they would disappear into the kitchen and not come back. This happened three times. Finally I asked if we could just pay for our food so that when it was done we could just get it and leave, but the man who had taken our order, who had not even shown up within the 30 minutes at that point that we had been there, was the only person who was ALLOWED to close out our check. They had realized that it was an inconvenience for the level unprofessional ridiculousness we were dealing with at that moment and offered to give us a free strawberry lemonade with our food, of course we said YES PLEASE. That gave us hope that maybe, they were going to get their stuff together at this point, but we were wrong. So they bring out the food after OVER AN HOUR, my fiance had just paid for it just before they brought it out and then they tried to charge him AGAIN before he even had the bag and his hand. They didn't discount us for the inconvenience, the miscommunications, waiting for an hour for something that was supposed to be 20 minutes, and no we did not even get the lemonade out of it.

I have never been so set off by an Eat'n Park , this is just depressing. Instead we will drive to Sewickley, McKnight Road, anywhere but the Avalon Eat'n Park to avoid these issues happening again or whatever else could come from a staff as messy as this. So...

They were really great when they made mistakes.

Myself, my cousin & her boyfriend walked in to get slices of pie and milkshakes to go. I was on my own bill separate from theirs. They got 2 slices of pie & 2 milkshakes, and their total was $6.62. I thought that was REALLY cheap for what they got, but whatever.

I was rung up second. I got 2 slices of pie & ONLY 1 milkshake, but MY total was $9.61. The hostess handling our orders had ran my credit card & I was about to sign the receipt when I realized that total seemed wrong in comparison and asked about it. I thought maybe it was because I got the Chai shake, but they'd gotten simpler flavors.

The poor hostess, named Dinna which I recall bc it's do close to my own name, seemed maybe a little new & unsure, so she got someone else to help, presumably the manager. She'd actually charged myself AND my friends LESS than what we should've paid. I was charged for a child's milkshake instead of a regular one. My friends were charged for kids' chocolate MILK instead of shakes! Which amused me because neither of them got a chocolate shake.

But because we'd already paid, and I was just waiting to sign my bill in case a correction had to be made, the manager let it all go & DIDN'T make us pay the difference between what we paid & what we should've been charged.

So in the end, all of us technically got some sort of discount, by accident, and the manager was actually very kind and patient with the possibly new hostess taking care of us. My ONLY complaint is that she forgot to give us forks that we had to ask for as she rung us up bc there weren't any already in our takeout bags...

The waitress was very nice and did her best for it being her second day. Im not sure if it was the manager or just another worker but she made her so uncomfortable and was so rude! When she( o/w) brought out our food she slammed down our plates as if we was supposed to go into the back or something and get our plates ourselves! So She forgets the butter for one order that had an baked potato so she looks at now our original waitress and says smartly yeah you can go get the butter I forgot it! The audacity of her to speak to her like that for something she forgot to get cause she wanted to rush her. Lastly I go to eat my Cheeseburger and I take a bite and why does my meat and tomato look the same color smh. All in all it's like if u would have let her do her job herself maybe this burger would have been done and when the food came out nothing would have been left behind! The atmosphere was also a very uncomfortable setting. It was dirty one coworker just kept walking past the tables playing with her hair pulling it up and kept taking it back down. She handles the food and she out here just blatantly tossing her hair around! Also when we arrived me and my friend that went didn't even get offered the option to sit in and eat our food! We had to ask them are we allowed to eat in here as well? Cause there was a good bit of people already sitting down eating their meals. We got asked are you here for an order? Did you place or picking up an order? Umm are we allowed to eat sit down inside and eat? Then oh you wanna eat inside.. yea you...
