My husband and I went last night Saturday night to Beerheads in Avon and it was not a pleasant experience to say the least. we went in to get appetizers and a beer but ended up just getting beers because the food prices are crazy high! Me personally thinks $18 for wings is outrageous. anyway we just got beer. My husband, loved his beer it was cold and fresh but my beer was not. it was kind of scary because as soon as she gave it to me it had no foam, that should of told me right off the bat not to drink I took a sip anyway and I was kind of scared because it was warm and it tasted like flat pop. then I kept thinking where did she get this beer? was it sitting on the counter in the back that somebody ordered and didn’t want it?? so my husband said go give it to the bartender and get a new one so that’s what I did. First the bartender looked at me like I was nuts but I said I’m sorry this is not fresh can you give me the same beer out of the tap. so I waited and another customer next to me said you should get what you ordered you shouldn’t have to drink that cause I told her what happened. The bartender poured me a new fresh beer, the same one I ordered before that. this time you can tell a big difference it was cold it was fresh as in foamy and flavorful. it tasted totally different from the beer the waitress gave me. so now I’m wondering what the hell did she give me! if I ever go there again to Beerhead, which I might ,I will definitely order right at the bar and watch them pour it from the tap. it’s very unsettling that you can’t even trust the waitress to give you a fresh beer. Btw the time we were there was 10pm, not busy at all. The waitress took my beer order went in the back for about 10 minutes and came back with a beer, I didn’t even see her go...

This place is a part of a small chain of pubs specializing in craft beer and high quality bar food, both are done very well here.

The tap list is just about as good as you'll find anywhere (especially if you are looking to drink local beer) and the bottle list; while pretty basic, is still impressive. You can tell that this place was designed for the average Joe to have a place to try different beers while eating some high quality bar food; it won't disappoint hardcore beer geeks either, you can always find something you're interested in.

The bourbon selection is pretty decent for a place that is all about the beer, it's pretty hard to ignore Blanton's as a special gift to yourself when you stop in; it's a nice pour as well.

The staff there was nothing less than outstanding, the bartender was way more knowledgeable about her job than at least 90% of other bartenders working somewhere like Beerhead; but, she was willing to soak up knowledge that her patrons offered. We met the manager as well, he certainly seemed as though he was very concerned about our experience in the establishment.

Go visit Beerhead. Will it change your life? No. Will they make you want to come back? Definitely!

I forgot to mention their happy hour (weekdays 3-6 pm), prices are great and they offer a high quality...

What a good experience I had here today. Walked in about 5 minutes after they opened and the place was dead. So I walked up to the bar and started to have a nice discussion with the bartender, Nick.

I asked for some recommendations and he said to get a pizza or something off the brunch menu. So I ordered a pizza off of the brunch menu. :-)

I believe the pizza was called a Good Morning Goodfella. And goodness was it good. If you ever had the breakfast pizzas in grade school during the 90's, think of that....Except a high quality restaurant version. The pizza was fantastic. Toppings included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, onions, cheese, and a delicious gravy sauce. The crust was crunchy yet light.

Man, what a good breakfast pizza.

They have a tremendous selection of beers as well. I had a pair of beers that went well with my breakfast pizza. Who knew beer could pair so well with breakfast? Lol

I really liked the decor and style. Very straightforward brewery/bar atmosphere. Nothing ground breaking, but nice overall.

Lastly, the service was great. Nick and I had a great conversation while I was there and he made some spot on recommendations during my visit.

10/10...

I was looking for a bar to grab some lunch after a ball game. I came upon the Beerhead Bar and Eatery. What a great find! There were seven in our party and we stopped just after lunch around 3:00 p.m. The place was not busy at all. There was a one server and one bartender. They both did a great job with our party. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The service was excellent. They have a big beer selection. A lot of local breweries, and some large names breweries. The food menu, for me was a bit small. I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries and I can't tell you how delicious it was. Everything was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back and will be recommending this place to my family.

Where to start? I don’t write bad reviews. But this place was so bad that a review must be written. This is the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in Ohio in 5 years. First, within 20 seconds of sitting down in a near empty place for lunch on a Wednesday at noon, the Server is asking if a drink (beer) has been selected out of a 4-5 page list of drafts, cans, bottles! Um no, I’ve only looked at it for like 15 seconds. The burger: no question of how would you like it cooked...should have been a tipoff...$16, see picture of overcooked burger. The second picture is what seems like cheddar cheese from a government warehouse on top of a pice of brisket from hell. Go there at your own risk/peril.
