We booked the Emerald Event Center for our August 2024 wedding reception and it was absolutely perfect! From the very beginning, our communication with Shannon was prompt and efficient. She was always quick to answer when we had questions and helped us throughout the entire process - adjusting the venue service offering to fit our needs, creating blueprints of the space until we landed on what we liked best, confirming day-of timeline, setting up our venue space and decor on the wedding day (which was amazing and such a stress relief!!), ensuring cocktail hour / dinner went smoothly and more. She was so easy to work with and truly made our experience amazing.
As for the venue itself, it is a large ballroom which gives you the opportunity to be creative with how you set things up. We used the hallway and outside patio space for cocktail hour. The food was really great and we received a lot of compliments on it! We also received a complimentary wedding cake which was a really nice add on! It looked beautiful and tasted very good too! One of the best parts about this venue is that it is attached to the hotel, which makes things SUPER convenient for guests. So many guests stayed the night which kept the party going! The hotel bar also stayed open for us until 1am for an "after party" which was fun way to wrap up our wedding night!
Overall, we would highly recommend booking the Emerald Event Center as your wedding venue if you are considering it. You will not be...
Read moreEaster brunch was ok. When I called to make the reservation for, I had a feeling that the woman on the phone wasn't really interested in her job/me/ or in acting in a professional manner. I decided to let that go but thought it was a little odd to not receive any confirmation. I should have followed up myself but didn't and, of course, upon arrival they had no record of my reservation. They were courteous though and created a spot for us. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any wait staff charged with our table. One woman eventually said she'd be right with us but never came back. Another one finally asked if everything was ok and when she found that we'd been left to sit took drink orders and described which buffet lines has which options. After that we were left alone again. I had to ask some other wait person for a drink refill and yet another for a check. The latter person passed it off and off and off until even the staff was confused as to who was supposed to be printing our check. I can't believe how long we spent there mostly just tracking down staff people and hoping someone would wait on us. I'm not sure any of the staff cracked a smile the whole time. They just looked hurried and worried.
The food was good and the balloon archway was adorable. I will try somewhere else next year. I hope they get their...
Read moreThe hotel was clean and very nice. Hotel staff was less than pleasant at check-in, but they got us checked in fast. Event center is very pretty and spacious. Event staff needs some lessons in manners. Event staff messed up one of the wedding parties' meals. Waitstaff told the wedding party they could "either take the food they were being served now, or wait until every other guest had been served. It was a plated dinner with 2 choices, so they had both options readily available. The wait staff didn't even apologize for the mess up. Layer the manager was made aware of the situation. She apologized and fixed the situation, but dinner had long been over. She brought the correct plate of food out in less than a minute after being nade aware of the situation, so they did have the correct food the entire time. People pay a lot of money for a wedding, the least you can do it fix their food when asked, and apologize for a simple mess up. I would recommend the hotel, but I would not recommend hosting an event at the event center based off the interactions with the event staff. Stressing over the kindness of event staff shouldn't be a worry on a big day...
