I absolutely love Popeye's. That's why I gave this place 3 chances. 1st, they didn't have tenders, 2nd time their tenders weren't thawed and it took them 6 min to take my order. 3rd time they took my order. A regular tender meal. I get to the window and pay the normal price but was then handed a small drink. I asked about it. Turns out that location is no longer using large cups for meals. It's the same price but you'll get a small cup. Well ok. I also ordered dipping sauce. None was in the bag. I pulled around and went in. While waiting I heard 3 employees talking rude about me. I'm not sure about you but when I frequently order food and get a specific size and then you get a smaller size; I feel you would ask questions too. Now I wasn't rude at all, just questioned what happened.
I emailed support about it. They offered me a $5 gift card if I download and register for their app. Their apology is conditional on obtaining my info when I register. I don't want their money, I wanted them to know about the employees that work at their restaurant and are bringing down their name.
Edited To Management: The food served here is not work getting ridiculed by your staff. If you read the review, your company was given 3x to change my review and you failed each time. Why do you deserve a 4th try? And please note, some of the things your staff was saying was about how your company would handle a complaint. Which you did exactly what they said you would do. From me asking for my order them getting it wrong, to not giving me my sauces or sides right, to me having a coupon and paying with my card and then later checking my account and they charged my account 60 bucks for a 2 piece. Had I not of been checking my account I wouldn’t have noticed. I ask for fresh tenders all the time. It’s always a hassle. One time they forgot to put the tenders in there all together. Another time they redropped them to make them hot. Aka not FRESH. Every time it’s an issue about getting ranch. I ask for extra. Even stated i would pay for extra. I get 1 maybe two. Yes I have ranch at home. But not the point. If I’m on the road maybe I’m not home to use my ranch. And if your paid hourly why does it matter. Give up the ranch. Honestly most would ask well why do you keep coming back. Because the kids want it. But them taking 60 out my account for a 2 piece and telling me I have to come another day to get my money back because a manager ain’t there is crazy. And I’m sure I will have to wait 5 to 10 business days for them to give me my cheese back.
The craziest part of this whole situation is the owner will respond to this. Say how they are so sorry. And how they will use my review to make the place better. Whether that’s staffing issues, disciplinary actions, etc. But what I have noticed with every issue that I have they don’t offer another free meal, refund, or anything to want me to come back and eat there again. Read moreThe order time on my receipt was 4:08pm when I placed my order. I angrily walked out with refund money in hand at 5:08pm with no food after all that wait time and completely starving. There was virtually no staff, and the one's that were there were in training. None had a clue what they were doing. After 50 mins of nothing being served, I had to wait 10 mins for a manager to come over and give me my money back. During my absurd wait time I watched drive thru customers have to leave their vehicles and angrily comeback in to get their order corrected. I watched the rest drive away after realizing the line wasn't moving at all. I stood next to other waiting customers listening in as their orders either were incorrect or hadn't been served yet either. I watched several people walk in, saw the commotion and everything that was going on, and walked out. It appears this place is poorly managed, understaffed and in dire need of trained personnel. What a disappointment, if I were the franchise owner or general manager at this location I wouldn't have hesitated to just shut the place down indefinitely and try to regroup and fix the issues.
