This is the second time I have given the waffle house in Avon a chance. I literally stood at the register for several minutes while EVREY employee in the kitchen and diner walked past and did not bother to say “hey I’ll be with you in just a moment” or “what do you need” to gauge if they could help me or not. Then the women who finally walked over to help me spent several minutes trying tro figure my total and the price of the chicken I ordered which is on the menu! It’s pretty unprofessional to completely ignore someone standing right in the middle of the restaurant. Granted they were busy, and I do not expect to come before anyone else, but acknowledgement is curtious and preferred in the serving/ customer service industry.
The fist time I came to pick up a To Go order at Waffle House the young girl on the phone had a bad attitude and snapped at me because I had a question about something on the menu. When I came in to pick it up I do give her credit for apologizing and recognizing she was rude, but after that the cook made a smart comment about being upset I called in to order right when he was suppose to make himself food. Like what? You don’t joke with customers like that at all, especially when you just heard your co-worker apologizing for being rude... Then to top all that off.. Waffle House called me when I had made it all the way back to my house to tell me that they forgot to put my chicken (which was the main piece in my order) in with the rest of my food. They left it on the grill and let me take my food and go home with an incomplete order. I had to drive all the way back to get it and they offered no refund/discount/coupon for next time or even an apology for their very poor preformance. Read moreToday my wife and I decided it was a great day to go here for breakfast and I must say it was terrible at its finest. First, it took 15 minutes for anyone to greet us once we say down. Everyone 2 ( ladies and the cook with glasses ) who was behind the counter walked past us like we weren't there. We were only assisted once we had to chase someone down. Mind you, it wasn't packed at all. It was pretty bare. The funny thing is that the older gentleman Jeffery States that he was busy and that they we busy and the funny thing is that the younger kids at the higher bar laughed and repeated what was stated knowing that it's utter lies. I ordered an all-star special and my wife a waffle. She asked for a waffle cooked well as when I tell you the waffle was the same consistency as burnt toast and when I was asked to be remade the gentleman Jeffery said “ I will reset the timer but I will not take it off your bill because of YOUR HASSEL.” When did getting something cook correctly become a problem in a restaurant? I would tell you to shy far away from this place if you want waggle house as to this one will not take your time and money into account.
Post edit. Jeffery is not wearing gloves when preparing food as your sever not a cook. I have to say it seemed to be it was a problem that due to the color of my skin, it was just not the time of the day to be served. Read moreThis cook is extremely rude to everybody she works with!!! We had a wonderful meal and great service from our server until the 9:00pm shift came in. This lady walked in with an attitude and hatred towards everyone that came into her path. A few weeks ago when coming in she was screaming at her co worker about how many slices of cheese someone wanted because they asked for extra and she “must charge per piece”.. understandable but there are customers there who can hear you screaming at your co worker over something so simple. And then last night there is a very nice gentleman washing his hands to get ready to head to the cook top and he is making small talk with us as we were asking him questions and she is Screaming at him to stop talking to us and get to the cook top “NOW”. This man had just gotten into work and was washing his hands.. he isn’t allowed to talk to people at all apparently! Someone needs to talk to her about what customer service is! There was like 2 people in the entire restaurant they were not busy! I have worked in customer service for years and can tell you this is not how you do it. She is nasty and hateful towards everyone there and needs a good talk on how to act when you’re in customer service.
