GreatSomething different. Blink, and you'll miss this little place. Order in, and you'll love it...if you like Cajun, that is. High on my list on the rather limited, but yummy, menu, are a few vegetarian options. Inexpensive, but fairly large helpings, no matter what you order. Lotsa food for a reasonable price. Order up front, and they'll call you to pick it up when it's ready. Recommend: the Drunken Chicken, or Maque Choux (mock shoe). I usually get half and half. Comes with great garlic bread too. And Their white chili is a good vegetarian option also. And don't forget to order one of their huge snicker doodle (or choice of two other flavors) cookies for dessert -- or to take home if you're just too stuffed to eat it there. $4.00, but I promise it's worth it! Suggestion: If ordering carry out, ask them to put the sauce in a separate container. Otherwise you'll end up with it all over your now soggy garlic bread. I first started eating at Yats at the location in Broad Ripple which I truly saw many acts of kindness to the community and customers. I’ve pretty much had everything on the menu through the years and have never been disappointed. Everyone is super chill that works there and you can get a meal fast and be in and out. Chili Cheese Etouffee W/Crawfish is probably the most popular, Maque Choux W/Chicken is delicious too! You can have half and half orders if you like two different for the same meal. If you’re not sure if you’ll like something that you want to order they’ll let you sample a small amount to see if you’ll like which is very nice. When I ordered my food 20 minutes before this location closed the gentleman behind the counter in the black Baltimore Orioles hoodie rudely informed me that I WAS getting the food to go because they close in…(as he looked at the clock)…19 minutes. I’m surprised he didn’t say 19 minutes and 55 seconds or tell me he was 24 and fwee qwaters yeaws owd. I took my food to go and left. It’s disappointing too, because I’ve always enjoyed Yats. Even if I ordered my food 10 minutes before they were closing he wouldn’t have needed to be that rude. I’m sure the rude and entitled employee will deny he was rude and I’m sure the owner will believe him cause we have to all have to coddle our fragile little kids.
