Wtah? I mean, it's been a while since we ventured into a Jersey Mike's, but wow, how the mighty have fallen.
We stopped in to grab a couple of subs for the ride back home. Multiple customers milling about none eating at tables just waiting for food. I stand in line to order. One customer in front of me. Two employees at 7:20pm. A girl working the hot grill and a guy slicing and assembling cold subs. The customer in front paid for her 2 subs, and it was my turn, or so I thought?
The cold sub maker went about using remnant pieces of bread laying about the slicer and counter and starts assembling subs. Online order, I assume. I waited at the counter for 5 mins, watching him make the subs.
When the girl who was completing hot sub orders and delivering to the waiting people looked my way I said might as well start my Philly cheesesteak sandwich since it takes awhile. She looked confused. Nope nobody took my order yet! I order that and a #13 MIKES WAY. Mind you, these remnant bread pieces were SMALL unless the regular is now a 3" So when he gets to the "what do you want on it" part. We have only wheat bread left, no lettuce, no onions , and tomatoes. Ummm. For real, the counters and food prep area were destroyed. These employees seemed to be doing their best but had no concerns over the junk products they just produced and sold. I had points, and I used them towards the subs. Works since after this experience, I highly doubt we will patronize any Jimmie John's in the future. Poor presentation, took 20 mins, employees had no concerns about any of it. I'm really getting sick of this new world under bidenomics. Talk about...
Read moreWorked there for barely a week. Nastiest and most unprofessional place i’ve ever worked in. Nobody washes their hands, nor are new hires, who are mostly 15 years olds in their first job; taught to wash hands before getting on line to make food, taking money and working register or cleaning and handling chemicals then going straight to gloves and handling food. Drink/ice machine is never cleaned. Clogged up 2nd day of me working there, asked if they ever clean it to prevent that from happening and the child “GM” told me they run hot water through every night. Clearly a lie from the resin build up and possibly mold/mildew. Wouldn’t buy the bottled drinks or soda cans either, seeing as they allow ants to crawl all over the stacks of them in the back! Girls bathroom trash was overflowing the entire week i worked there. Now that i’ve quit and returned my uniform, the GM refuses to text me back about retrieving my check for the time i worked and also refused to give me Corey, the owners number so i could handle it through him. Corporate and the Health Department would have an absolute field day here! Bread pans are disgusting and built up, bread for hot subs is the day befores bread and kept in a drawer by the floor next to the grill. Meats and cheeses are poorly wrapped and sitting in their juices in the walk in. Sauce bottles are not cleaned out, just refilled on top. Don’t bother calling the store phone either, lol. They don’t have it. If you’re fond of food poisoning, germs, awful customer service and most likely a messed up...
Read moreI visited this establishment this evening with my grandsons who are 5 and 10 years old. I wanted to treat them after a visit to the MVP Kids clinic. We had never been before so we didn’t know what to expect except that it mimicked Subways. I ordered mini sub a regular sub and a mikes Philly and 2 bags of chips. The young man who took my order was very personable and after he took my order he asked me to proceed to the cash register to pay even though there were two women ahead of us. I stood at the register for 4 minutes before the young man who was fiddling around in front of me decided to allow me to pay for my order. Once I paid I thought all I had to do was wait until my order was completed. But, there was yet another young man screaming my name so I went to see if he was finished but he wanted to see what I wanted on my sandwich I asked if I could have lettuce and tomato and olives. He slamming my food down on the counter as if someone has made him upset. He begins to assemble the sandwich with no condiments whatsoever so I asked if he could put mayonnaise on it and the way he handled it was making me uncomfortable. I asked him if he could do the regular sub the same as the mini. He complied with my wishes but not before treating that sandwich the same as he did the mini but this time he let me know he wasn’t happy by throwing my sandwich at me. I hope to god that your establishment has a video camera. I was quick enough to think to record all of them being so disrespectful...
