Firstly i'd like to say the food was decent. Nothing special about the service, felt like a basic restaurant. Hence the 3 stars thought about a 2. It was the cleanliness and atmosphere that my concerns are with.
The booth I was seated at had small dead insects going along the whole windowed area. I don't know how fast a restaurant accumulates said dead pest but if it was in a home setting i'd say it was almost a months worth at best (If someone didn't clean regularly).
The booth had clear plexiglas/acrylic separating each other above the seats, but it look like a child's face was pressed against it (The booth had no patreons and table was clear when I was seated and when I left).
seated at the booth behind me was clearly an employee (Did not see name, but did the badge) setting discussing personal purchases and stories very loudly with another person (Was there longer than 30min but they may have been on break).
The window blinds themselves were all disheveled (Hence why the insect and imprints on the booth dividers. Someone clearly wasn't cleaning/tidying up the area).
The booth I was seated at had a small drop when exiting, but the warning on the table to watch your step was covered (Even pointed out to my girlfriend the liability it is for them). It was covered by the tablet/order/payment device. I'd even moved it so it wasn't covering the warning and the employee had put it back when they showed me the device payment option when I'd asked for the check.
This took place at almost 5pm on a saturday and they weren't busy when I arrived and had just started getting more patreons when leaving. Overall I was disappointed with the dinning...
Read moreI don't say this very often but I wish you could give this Red Robin less than a star review because honestly that is what they deserve after being treated the way me and my family were today. We came on a Sunday afternoon, which is most commonly rush hour for a family restaurant during this time. We checked in with the staff and were told it would be anywhere between a 20-30 minute wait as expected. Time went by and other families and people who walked in got seated before us. It was expected as we came with a large party (9 adults and two kids). Well past the wait time we check in and we are told it would be another 15 min. We continue to wait as everyone gets seated and the staff has yet to check in with us about an updated wait time. Again after 15 min we check in and nothing. So about close to hour passes and we are still waiting. At this point we are all hungry and tired of waiting. We ask the staff again and now the moved up the time to 20 min. In which point I ask to speak to an immediate supervisor or manager and again we are told we have to wait to speak to them. We ended up leaving because NEVER have I experienced a wait that long for a party of 11. RIDICULOUS. And to be told to wait to speak to a manager as well was the tipping point for us. I really do hope to speak to someone in charge at this Red Robin because how me and my family were treated was totally UNACCEPTABLE. Read moreI gave them a 2 because I come here all the time the food is amazing and the service is always great. But this time was it for me. We walked in to check in with the host, we said we wanted a booth for 2 and she said okay please sit down we're a little busy we'll come get you when a server is available. We wait about 10 minutes, another family comes in 2 adults and 1 child, the same host asks them how many and proceeds to check them in and walk them back to a table. So now I'm confused about this situation because now both of the hosts make eye contact with us and proceed to seat the other guest. I walk up to the stand explain the situation and the new host goes yeah sorry she is new she doesn't know. At this point we leave. I call and speak with the manager and explain the situation she understands and says come back I just explained I'm not looking for a free meal the entire situation rubbed me the wrong way due to the host not feeling the need to communicate why we hadn't been seated or even addressed for 10 minutes she understood. I just told her unfortunately I'm refusing to spend my money anywhere that I'm not valued and it sucks because I actually liked them. Please train your hosts better because they can make or break...
