Horrible experience at this store. I came in to just look around and found some items I wanted and was with my sister and boyfriend. As I was coming up to the register the cashier was scanning all the items and rang up my total. Mind you I am the type of person that uses tap-to-pay on almost all P.O.S. So I can accumulate my points and exchange them for rewards through Samsung Pay, as I was going to check out using my form of payment the cashier says to me "you can't use that form of payment" I asked "why not?" To which the cashier replied "we are not set up to accept that form of payment" I asked if it was just Samsung and she stated that it was any type of tap to pay. Another cashier that was nearby overheard our conversation and the 2nd cashier also stated the same. Meanwhile this situation is turning from what should have been nothing to something big and other customers are overhearing the conversation. I went ahead and tried my tab to pay either way and in the system it was approved and it printed a receipt. Both of the cashiers were stunned and surprised and they were withholding my receipt along with my items stating that they did not know where the money went and they don't know if the items were paid in reality. A little while later the manager , whos name is Letty, comes over with this attitude from the get-go saying that the items were not paid for either. I asked the manager what she meant by that and she stated that they did not know where the money went. I was not only stunned by this but I was embarrassed and humiliated by the 3 people that represented this establishment. Being in customer service they did not even offer to look into the situation or bother to find out what was happening. I proceeded to take my items with me and called all the Marshall stores valley wide. They all accept Samsung pay and Android pay from what was stated to me and further more they connected me with corporate which I spoke to a representative by the name Brittany there and she assured me that they did accept and were set up to accept Samsung pay and Android pay. I called the store back to which I originally purchased my items and advised them of what I had learned and been told by all other representatives and associates if this business. I spoke to the manager who I had contact with at the store, Letty, and explained to her the information I was given. Her excuse was that she had never received notice or an email in regards to the tap-to-pay form of method that ALL Marshall are set up to accept. This is just UNACCEPTABLE customer service and behavior from any establishment to put a customer through what I went through. I would never go back and give my business to this establishment. If I could give this place no stats I would but other consumers need to be aware and know your rights as a consumer wherever it is...
Read moreWant to file a complaint against Sabrina G. an employee at Marshall’s location of 10130 West McDowell Road Avondale. AZ 85323. On August 14th, 2025. My mother, toddler and I were shopping late in the evening. When my mom placed an item back that was on clearance and incomplete. The box had been previously open since the item was incomplete. It was a glass cup and since the box wasn’t in gear condition the item fell from the shelf that she had placed it on. I had seen a few employees a few aisles back. I told mother in her native language, which is Spanish. To left it there I would go find help. Item was glass and it did shattered. I felt glass on my legs and she felt the glass on her hands. As I am pulling away with the cart where my daughter was sitting. 2 employees walked up to us. One being Sabrina G.and Tyler. Sabrina heard me speaking my native language with my mother. Starts speaking, English upset that my mother had kicked the item to the side, so no one else would be injured. Stating she’s trying to hide it, shoving it under the shelf. As I heard that I responded to her she’s not trying to hide it. I’m trying to go find someone to help and you come over here attacking us as if we’re hiding the item that fell and broke. It is not our fault that the item broke as it fell from the shelf due to that box being damaged and previously opened. Sabrina G. then proceeded to rather voice as if she is above me and superior. My mother then proceeded to show her the tag that it was in clearance and wouldn’t mind paying for it. We walked towards the registers. To to then complete our purchase for other items we had select. As we are in line Tyler walks up to us telling us that he needs the box and I told him I was like no we’re gonna pay for it since your colleague is very upset that the item fell and broke and it was not a responsibility. She then attacked us saying that we were hiding the item that had broken in a very loud tone of voice upset. He said we did not have to pay for the item and that he would take care of it. At the time of purchasing our remaining items. We were not able to use any other register other than register eight where the manager was at. My mother had pleased to ask me to don’t say anything else. But it is not fair to be discriminated and treated as a criminal in a store when it was an accident. It is not our fault that that box was damaged and was incomplete and that that box had fell and broken the glass cup. Sabrina’s behavior and attitude is unexceptional. I am also a customer service representative. I have also been a part of management for retail stores. I would not accept this type of behavior for my colleagues or employees. It is absolutely the worst experience ever shopping at that store today. Actions should be taken against...
Read moreOur family recently moved from TN, Marshall's, TJ MAXX and Home Goods were my go to retail stores. This location has been the most convenient. The front cashier staff are very friendly and engaging. The floor sale associates lack friendliness and common courtesy. I have visited in morning and the evening. If you are standing in an area that they are attempting to restock they will not say Excuse Me. They will reach in front of you to place the item. A sales floor associate brushed in front of my path as I was reaching for an item off the shelf. Out of impulse I jumped back to give them the way but again no apology and no excuse me. The store in itself tends to be fully stock with a variety of available items to choose from. But be prepared it's crowded and compact. I did find myself frequently excusing myself and carefully checking aisles before moving forward. The atmosphere is definitely OK but not GREAT. I hope this review helps new residents...
