Alright first of all I never add a review after an experience at a restaurant whether it was good or bad but this is not the first time at this place I've had a bad experience and let me be clear the service as far as the waitresses was the best thing about the experience, the manager and the bartender on the other hand, very unprofessional. My wife and I ordered drinks (beer) and our waitress being very busy dealing with multiple tables was not able to bring them to us so they sat on the bar for literally 15 minutes before our waitress had realized they were still there, and this is while the bartender is sitting at a table doing what looked like flirting with some guy and the manager who in my eyes is there to do wherever the manager can to help out but instead was busy standing there doing nothing and this continues to go on for two refills. We had another waitress bring us one of our refills after she herself had been waiting for the bartender to be done flirting and fill her orders . Keep in mind our waitress and the other waitresses were very good and we were extremely happy with service we got from them . Second, we have never been to a restaurant where you order a combination plate, especially Mexican food when it doesn't come with beans and rice, I mean come on it's the cheapest thing in that place and you guys are going to charge extra for it. We go to this place because of the convenience of not having anywhere else in Aztec and when we do go we spend money and we Will be back but something needs to be done about this, your manager and bartender are very unprofessional and I will be telling everyone about the experience I...
Read moreWith my food allergies I had a hard time here. I ordered a taco salad, no beans with guacamole and sour cream. I stressed my allergies and directly asked if the guacamole was made with any kind of chili. She said no. It came back, no meat, a huge pile of beans, and the guacamole had chili juice in it. I tried to make do by just eating the lettuce. Took one bite of guacamole and knew immediately I could not eat anything. The taco salad was nothing but lettuce, all the bean stuff, a few very small tomato pieces, and a few shreds of cheese. I was offered another salad butâŚafter that⌠no thanks. Your servers need to be a lot more careful answering questions about the contents. Had I taken a bigger bite it would have resulted in a trip to the hospital. As it was I was only sick and uncomfortable with a swollen tongue until sometime in the middle of the night. My daughter loves this place so when we are in town it is easy for her to go there. I wonât order food...
Read moreThink twice before eating here or getting take out. We spent about $40 here, and we got next to nothing. I PAID for a whole chicken quesadilla. What I GOT was a cheese one. When we opened up my wife's container, what we PAID for was a Rubias plate special with Carne adovada. What she GOT was a splat of Carne and a splat of refried beans, and one pathetic little tortilla. We thought we would go to Rubios cause we didn't want to drive any further. That was our mistake, and we shan't be making it again. And we'll warn others of what seems to be the kitchen's inability to read a ticket. It came out fast, but I would rather wait for it to be right. Would they have been this shoddy had we been dine in? I hope not, but we'll never know. It's now worth it to me to drive further to get good Mexican. If I'm going to spend that much money, I'm going to have more than a splatter of food for $14. That's...
