What happened to this place? I have been going since I was little bitty my great grandma would take me for a root beer float. I also worked here in high school so I have some very fond memories of this place. These past 3 years I will only go if I’m not hungry quite yet. I’m typically okay waiting for 20+ minutes for my order to be taken and then about 30+ minutes after for my food because the carhops are generally kind and honestly the root beer itself is worth it. Today was my absolute last straw. Our family had some time to kill waiting on appointment so I thought perfect A&W would be the perfect time kill. As we were sitting in the lobby waiting on the phone two seperate families left…. I witnessed the carhop serve serious attitude as soon as she turned around to another family who asked for ketchup. Thought to myself “man those people must be difficult because this carhop is struggling”. She came back a second time the woman was super kind to this carhop and still she turned around rolled her eyes and mouthed some rude words. Ten minutes go by and I’m thinking maybe this booth is also out of order given 4 other booths had out of order signs. So as this carhop is walking by again I said “excuse me miss” and she snapped “there’s only one person back there taking orders so just be patient”. I didn’t even get to start what I was going to ask. I simply wanted to make sure my booth was working and continue to wait patiently. Honestly I was so shocked by the way she spoke to me I was speechless. After a moment of gathering my composure we decided to leave. Now to the carhop, I completely understood how overwhelmed you were and based off of how young you looked I’m sure you were really struggling with all the pressure you felt. However to treat people who were continuing to be kind to you even with your God awful attitude I hope you take this review to heart and realize that altercation you created will not be tolerated by most and not everyone will walk away and leave it be. I tried to call and speak to management but good luck ever getting this place to answer the phones. This deeply saddens me as this has been a staple in our little town and almost everyone I know who also used to love this place struggles to go because of the time you have to spend there. Unfortunately with employees like that this business will cease to exist of its own volition. Go here only if you are extremely patient and can ignore the...
Read morethe worst service I have ever experienced. workers there are always rude w an attitude problem. came inside to order because half the stalls outside were unusable. this place is seriously run down, half the phones inside were broken also. booths look like they're 50 years old and disgusting. you have to pick up a pay phone and order it is so gross and embarrassing. I asked the worker what kind of dipping sauce they had because it was nowhere on the menu, she was basically yelling the whole time on the phone I could barely hear what she listed and after told me "just like everywhere else" which was unnecessary to say. they brought me my food and I gave no tip and she snatched the receipt and stomped away with a huge frown. ive never received such unprofessional service before. this is not the first time I had an issue with their service but this is the last time I will ever go here. she did not even ask if I wanted the chicken hand breaded or grilled and I did not even want to bring it up with her. the food was below average, like cafeteria food, bland. normally only come for drinks but wanted to try out the food. very unpleasant experience, whoever owns/manages this place needs...
Read moreDecided to give this Aztec A & W another chance today...(been six months since my last visit when nothing went well) they didn't fail to disappoint. 6:53 PM: I pulled up, pressed the button and the first thing the young man taking the order said was, "Just to let you know, it's going to be quite a long wait because we have a lot of orders and we're behind." To which I replied, "No problem." (Mind you besides me, there were three, count em THREE cars parked outside and one had just gotten their food. And NO ONE in the dining room.) The young man didn't say anything further, so I ordered a number 3 with no onions and a diet root beer and waited.... and waited... and waited. 6:58 PM: Pressed the button again. "Hello?" No answer. Waited... 7:01 PM: Pressed the button. Waited... 7:05 PM: Pressed it a fourth time... the speaker sqauwked to life, "Sorry, for the wait. Can I take your order?" As it was approaching 15 minutes and they hadn't even taken my order, I just said, "Never mind." And left. I'm so bummed out about this A&W. That was my spot back in the day! Well, I guess I'll put em back on the "Avoid" list for...
