Their menu can satisfy anyones cravings, especially a large group and mine most times. Service is always top notch and fun, which is important to me. Places get busy and shorthanded, especially these days, but if the servers can keep a fun attitude, we should as well. With such an extensive menu, it is hard to ensure the quality of each dish and I always keep that in mind, which is why I still give four stars. Today we ordered the carnitas plate, chicken milanesa plate, chicharron taco (out of curiosity) and table side guacamole. First off, the guac on the plates is a waste for anyone who does not like onions. I get it, need to make batches, but even the waitress says she can’t handle raw onions and my GF can’t either, so why limit that clientele? Well, we ordered the table side guacamole at $13 extra, so we can omit the onions, maybe that is the goal, but does not make me happy. At least give me the option to order something other than the pre made Guac on the side so it’s not a waste, especially if I order the table side guac! Otherwise food is usually pretty good. Today, Carnitas was very dry and the “chicharron” taco was really just a drier version of the dry carnitas, so not the best day for that. Chicken milanesa, which is hard to find was very good and the fried potatoes was a great side dish/snack. Not sure why my carnitas dinner plate didn’t get it, but happy my GF’s dinner plate did. This place is always fun, food is usually pretty good and they welcomed us with our dog which was cool (originally came by for take out). Give them a try. Definitely worth it. “ See you tomorrow? Why not!” As the servers would say.

Mexican food with piping hot menudo and generously sized burritos. They’re currently open during covid for takeout, and you can call ahead for pickups. When you get to the restaurant, there’s a table where all the orders are placed and you’ll just give your name to the employee. Credit cards are accepted. Street parking is available and there’s a parking lot in the back of the restaurant. Food-wise, there are plenty of options and there’s a kids menu. My dad raves about the menudo - it’s his favorite thing and the portion size is humongous. It’s filled to the brim with meats and you’ll definitely have leftovers the next day. The El Maguey burrito was wet and for takeout, it comes with a big container of red enchilada sauce. There’s a small scoop of guacamole and sour cream atop some lettuce on the side. We got our with carnitas which was a tad dry, but the flavor was good. I preferred the carne asada that we got in the chimichanga. The chimichanga is also like the size of my forearm and also came with a good amount of meat. They gave us an order of free chips and salsa (a smoky pico de gallo), so by the end of our meal, we were absolutely stuffed.

Came all the way from Canada. Wanted Sergio's in Glendora, but they closed down during covid :( I will say this place was no Sergio's. the chips were stale, the regular salsa was a little bland for my taste. The red salsa was super spicey and the green salsa was chunky and looked appealing. Tasted all right. Ordered 2 drink. One spicey mango margarita and one margarita with a corona sticking out of it. Super tasty. We order 2 carne asada soft shell tacos with rice and beans. The beans were excellent! The carne asada was actually very disappointing it just tasted like shredded beef. On the other hand service was excellent. Everyone was so nice and kind and helpful. I assume they all split tips. Since everyone seemed to be doing everything. it didnt seem like they had set sections.

I am Mexican and this is not Mexican cuisine. To start off we ordered drinks. I had a tequila sunrise and my husband had a Long Island. They were SUPER strong and you could taste the cheap tequila used in the drink. You know that cheap gut burning kind you secretly drank with your friends as a high schooler .. yup that one. We asked for another drink but instead were told that ALL their drinks are strong … okay… we were brought over extra orange juice and extra soda instead, to gradually add and dilute our drinks!! Who does that?!? So we went along with their experiments and sipped and added and sipped and added. Nothing helped. It was the worst drink I’ve ever had.

Our food soon arrived and we were optimistic that it would be a better experience than our drinks had been, since it looked decent enough. Wrong! The salsa on the green burrito was very lemony and the red sauce burrito had no taste and had been microwaved, hence the dried on sauce. Once we finally got into the burrito it was equally disappointing. The “steak” is practically ground meat and had obviously gone from freezer to cooktop; as there was a mix of meat temperatures in every bite. To say I was dissatisfied is being polite. This place obviously targets the heavy drinking crowds that could care less about the food quality. And to top it off they charged us $62 for 2 drinks we didn’t drink and 2 microwaved, kinda hot kinda cold burrito plates.

Would not recommend this place to any...
