My mother made reservations for Thanksgiving, 2014 ONE MONTH ago. She verified that we got the buffet room and the waitstaff informed her that there would be a salad bar and full menu. She called the day BEFORE Thanksgiving to verify the reservation and said that there would be more people showing up. The waitstaff verified the reservation and said we would be put into the BUFFET ROOM!!! We got there on Thanksgiving all 15 of us and we were treated like second class citizens. Granted my aunt may have spouted off to the waitstaff on duty about us NOT GETTING THE BUFFET ROOM like we were promised but whats that saying again??!! THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!! There was another family in the BUFFET ROOM and what we were thinking that it was THEIR RELATIVES OR FRIENDS! The waitresses ganged up on us as far as i am concerned and pretty much kicked us out!! My uncle got COLD FAKE GFS FOOD SERVICE TURKEY I asked for REGULAR pop two minutes later KIM brought out DIET...The green bean casserole was cold, my mom asked for NO butter on her toast TWICE and each time it came back with butter, She ordered an EIGHT ounce steak it had to be about 3 ounces. She was also served POTATO PEELS instead of american fries with her steak and eggs all for the "cherap" price of $11.99, my father went to McDonalds with the fear they would SPIT in our food or worse. My aunt ordered a turkey dinner AND DID NOT GET HER FOOD!! My mom waited 45 minutes for coffee as well as me waiting for my pop which took just as long...They confirmed we had reservations in the BUFFET ROOM yet NEVER honored our reservations!!! God knows what the waitresses put in our food. Could we have handled it differently? Sure! BUT....THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!! HONOR OUR RESERVATIONS MADE A MONTH AHEAD OF TIME!!! After it was all said and done we had a HORRIBLE time the food was HORRIBLE along with the waitresses Kim and the manager that GANGED up on us when it was really PEPPERMILL'S FAULT why this all started in the first place!!! AVOID THIS RESTAURANT LIKE...
Read moreStopped in for a late lunch. It has been awhile since we have eaten at Peppermill. Today will be the last time we will eat there. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was good. No complaints. My husband ordered the four piece broasted chicken with broccoli and salad. No complaints about the salad. When the chicken and broccoli was served, it didn’t look appealing at all. First bite of the chicken leg, husband said it was very dry and very salty. I tasted it and agreed. Very dry and salty. Out of four pieces of chicken, he ate half a leg. That was it. We both tried the broccoli. It was gross and rubbery like it had had been microwaved. The server was nice and took the food back. Husband didn’t want to order anything else. Server came back and said the manager would be discounting our bill. A few minutes later the manager came out. It was obviously she was the one cooking because she was wearing an apron. She was very rude. She informed us that the restaurant has been using the same seasoning for two years, and has never had a complaint about the chicken. My husband said the chicken was disgusting. She said that she was charging us for the chicken leg and broccoli then walked away. Any other restaurant would had apologized and just removed it from the bill. The manager really needs to work on her customer service skills. She needs to show more respect to the customers instead of blaming them for the bad tasting food. The manager is the top reason we will never return...
Read moreToday is Monday October 9th, was treated poorly by the shift manager my wife ordered waffles with strawberries they was soggy and syrupy on the menus they looked sliced and fresh but they are not not fresh and her hash browns was not cooked all the way. We told the waitress the hash browns are hard meaning under'cooked she took them back the cook took the crispy ones off and sent back cold/partially raw hash browns. We complained again my wife ordered something different the waitress took the hash browns back. We ate the bill came and they charged us for the horrible food we told them ain’t gonna pay for what we didn’t eat the manager said oh yes you will and you won’t be aloud back here either. As a privately owned business you should be willing to stand by your product and if the customer is not satisfied make them happy not disrespect them and embarrass them in front of a room full of people. Me and my wife know a lot of people in Huron county and the surrounding area and our word is our bond and a lot of people trust us so I suggest this shift manager gets dealt with cause if that was me at my job I would have been fired on the spot I will be using all forms of social media to spread the word of horrible food and horrible service. Do the right thing or women like your shift manager is gonna run people off with unprofessional behavior and poor...
