The Pizza Shack — Restaurant in Bad Axe

Gave another shot as they have been open a while now and dined Wednesday night for the buffet. It was absolutely delicious. First off starts at 5pm until closing I think maybe 8pm for $9.99. Kids up to 5-6 eat free then reduced after that. They aren't slim on any ingredients on the pizza and they keep everything hot and coming out. They had Hawaiian pizza, pepperoni, onion and bacon maybe not sure and pepperoni and cheese. They also have cheese bread, dough balls and cinnamon dough balls. Again, they were full but you did not have to wait for any food and it was hot and fresh. They also have many soufflé cups with marinara, ranch, icing, cheese again -take what you need. The buffet also includes beverage which they have coke products. The place was clean and they kept the tables bussed, wiped off, plates, napkins, condiments and buffet all filled. I wanted to like this place. It’s local and I read some good things. To start off I walked in and the whole restaurant was at least 90 degrees. I was willing to let it go and was looking forward to the food. We ordered, she ordered a small pizza. I ordered a half grinder. About ten minutes later the pizza came out. So I figured the grinder would not be far behind. Lo and behold 25 minutes later I received my food. The person I’m eating with had already finished eating. It would have been nice to eat with who I went to eat with but that’s beside the point. I wasn’t going to make them wait and their food get colder than it already was. This place is awesome, with some of the best employees and managers you could ask for. I'm part of the Ubly football team, and we had a sponsorship from Mancinos until they closed last year, and The Pizza Shack allowed us the same deal to go there before gamedays. They even went out of their way to stay open past their closing time just to accommodate us before we went to States.
