Caesar's II Delicatessen — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Worst EMPTY LASAGNA ever! I picked up a premade lasagna last night I hoping for a quick easy dinner. Baked as directed. It looked really soupy- wet. When I cut it and dished it. It looks a little dense. Sat down to eat.. there's ABSOLUTELY nothing between the layers! It was layers of LASAGNA noodles with a smig of sauce on top a few chunks of ground meat and some type of shredded cheese. Kinda like shards. Not your normal shredded. This lasangl is empty and tasteless too. There's nothing in the layers of LASAGNA noodles. No meat, cheese ricotta, sasage , spinich. NOTHING!!!! NEEDS SALT SEASONING AND FILLER. IF I WANTED TO PAY $17 FOR NOODLES AND SAUCE. I COULD HAVE GOT THE EQUIVALENT AT WINCO FOR LESS THAN 5 DOLLARS AND DIDN'T NEED TO BAKE FOR AN HOUR I COULD HAVE JUST CUT AND...

Have been coming to this location for over 20 yrs. Came today and was sooo disappointed. We ordered 2 Romas with extra peppers and the marinated broccoli, tomatoes and onions. Bread tasted old, sandwich had 3 slices of salami and 2 slices of meat folded. And had NO cheese and 4 peppers. I took the meat off ate that and tossed the bread. Their sandwiches use to be full of meat and fresh. The salad was blah no flavor at all ended up tossing that too. You should leave full not the feeling of still hungry. So disappointed as the last time we came it was a tad better but pretty much the same. Sadly we Won't be making the trip across town to come in the future. Honestly even if over on that side of town would choose...

We have been coming to this Caesar's for over 40 yrs and when the old man the founder of this fine Deli. This sweet man was at the deli every day for many many years and when he passed his son took over. Its just not the same without the lovely old man there. This is wonderful and the restaurant is the same. But the presence of that lovely old man really brought so much charm to this great deli. The Food is wonderful. There a very nice lad that took care of me and my 90 yr old brother. My brother is rude to everyone. But this lad took it in stride and stayed respectful to my brother. Please support this fine deli, bring your family and enjoy Fast Italian sandwiches...
