Unfortunately our experience here was not a good one. My wife had come for lunch during the week and had a great experience, so she was excited to bring me for Sunday early dinner. We ordered and then my food came but not my wife’s food. We assumed it was coming shortly but it didn’t after 10 minutes nothing so we asked what happened to her food. They said they got busy in the kitchen but we asked why they didn’t bring the orders at the same time. We waited some more but still no food. We got up and told the server that we were leaving and I would only pay for my wife’s order and we would take it to go. I left and then the server proceeded to act rudely with my wife. She asked for the manager but was told they were not available. She came to the car visibly upset and without her food. If the manager/owner sees this review please reach out to me asap. I hope your experience is...

Thai House Restaurant in Bakersfield is one of those low-key gems that gets everything right. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by a cozy, welcoming vibe with traditional Thai decor that gives the space an authentic touch.

The food is the real star here. I tried the pineapple fried rice and the red curry, and both were packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of heat. The presentation was beautiful—colorful, vibrant, and inviting. Portions are generous for the price, which sits comfortably in the $20-$30 range.

Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s clean, comfortable, and clearly loved by locals.

If you’re looking for flavorful Thai food in a modest, laid-back setting, Thai House is definitely worth the visit. Great for dine-in or takeout, especially when you’re craving comfort food with...

60 yrs living in or near L.A. dining on excellent American & ethnic type cuisine Indian, Chinese, Iranian, German, Mexican, thai etc. Many, many places here in BAKO claim good food, with good reviews & the food is 3rd rate. I'm tired of eating crappie food @ regular- hi prices. But Thai house has some of the best food I've had here. sad they charge so much for egg rolls because they're really cheap to make, but they are so good I'll have to get them with every order. I take back what I said above they cheapened up the wontons in the wonton soup, they have no flavor it's just a ball of dough can't see or taste the wonderful meat that used to be in them the broth isn't tasty anymore they cheapened up their over prices egg rolls too just like so many Bakersfield restaurants so sad I...

Thai House will always hold a special place for me — they’re the reason I first fell in love with Thai cuisine. Over 14 years ago, on a simple work lunch break, a friend suggested this spot, and I was hooked instantly. Week after week, I’d return, always blown away by the bold flavors and comforting recipes. Even after years of moving away and coming back, Thai House has remained a touchstone for me. Their recipes never lose their flavor, and the warmth of the family who owns it makes every visit feel like coming home. They’ve always greeted me with authentic kindness, no matter how long it’s been since my last visit. They say you never forget your first — and for me, Thai House will always be that first unforgettable taste of Thai cuisine in Bakersfield. Highly recommended every single time.

I went here for the first time and took my roommate because she wanted to try the Thai iced tea. It was so yummy! The appetizer was deep fried sweet potato slices served with a sweet sauce....mmm good too. My entree was "spicy" (hot) green curry, OMG, this was to die for! Roomy got her usual chicken teriyaki but she was surprised that it was not as sweet as she was expecting but I reminded her that this was a Thai restaurant. She ordered the mango with sticky rice, what a way to end an awesome meal. Great service and food was outstanding. I highly recommend it!
