Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Golden Corral is a classic, an important part of my childhood.

I did not own a console as a kid, but I got access to PC games and Golden Corral is an all-time favorite. My cousins visit me mainly to play games together, they are much older than me but we all love this game. In a time few have heard of the internet or have a cellphone, not much for entertaining and arcades are just being introduced and being expensive, having a PC with a couple of games is like having a Lamborghini LOL but you get the idea. I spent numerous hours playing Golden Corral, the video game industry was not popular in the 90s and even with the few video games to choose from, most of the games are of high quality for people to play back and forth, which gives me an insight that developers back then were serious about making video games.

If you read others complaining a NPC is either too difficult or cheating in Golden Corral- no, I do not think so. I would think they just need more time to understand the tricks, I win each time but still have fun.I almost always build the bigger block into a hotel, it charges opponents and forces them to stay for 1-4 days. If I have mines I leave it on the block so when the poor walk on it immediately when leaving the hotel and going directly to the hospital LOL. Anyway, there are many dirty and normal tricks in this game and even Golden Corral franchise has at least 11 games for the years later, I always love Golden Corral the best, and whenever I think of it I recall sweet memory of it, seeing myself as a kid have few to worry and lots fun to enjoy.

Golden Corral does not bother me for the low resolution, or the freezes issue - I run on win 10 and the game crashes every 10 mins but the auto save is reliable. If you are a curious new player beware those issues you may encounter as well, just know this game is more for...

I hadn’t been to a Golden Corral since I was a kid, and I’m typically a bit leery of buffets, but we joined another large family and went before last night’s hockey game. With drinks, it cost us $25 per person for dinner (breakfast and lunch cost slightly less). We ate at about 5:00, and they had no problem accommodating our party of 13. We did have to split up between a table of 8 and another table of 5 right next to it, but that wasn’t a problem at all. I feel like when you go to any buffet, you should go with the understanding that you’re not going to get the best meal of your life, but hopefully that’s not what you’re there for. I judge a buffet by variety, cleanliness, price, and whether or not my body regrets it later (in our family we call it “bubble guts.”) The variety was good. They had everything we were looking for, including an above average selection of desserts. The soft serve ice cream machine was out of order, which prompted a playful McDonald’s comparison, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. I should mention their dinner rolls (I forget what they called them) as they were excellent. I got a piece of steak and a couple ribs, both of which were better than I expected. Overall, the place was pretty clean. There were plenty of employees following behind people and cleaning up messes, as well as keeping tables cleared and drinks refilled. I mentioned price above; I thought we got our money’s worth, and these days it’s nearly impossible to eat out on a budget. So my wife and went here and the food quality was the worse it’s ever been. Food was cold , very dry and some were very hard like rocks like the bread rolls they use to make steak burgers for lunch. And to top it off I got piece of fry chicken (which always use to be there go to ) that was still raw and pink inside. The manager try to me that it was not pink but my wife and I can clearly see for ourselves that was bloody and pink instead. It’s like they don’t check the temperature of food here to see if they done or to see if they not done yet. But this manager was one worse one I have even seen he did try to say sorry or try to get me to come back and give it 2nd chance and then try not to give me my back. So this was the worst food quality and customer service I have ever seen at a restaurant. I will no longer ever going back to this place ever again because at first when they first opened, they had such good quality. It was really good and the customer service was great too as well . It just to show you that after a couple years how people can get and not care about their job anymore. And also need a health inspector to come out and check there kitchen to make sure if it’s up to code because obviously the fruit temperature is not so they’re not paying attention to any of that so I would be careful because I almost felt like throwing up before I started walking out.This was on 9/9/2025 about 2pm.
