Heart of India: A Culinary Delight
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Heart of India, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was enveloped in the warm and inviting atmosphere that truly lives up to its name. The decor beautifully reflects Indian culture, and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable meal.
The menu at Heart of India is a treasure trove of authentic Indian cuisine, offering a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with flavors and spices that transported us straight to the heart of India. The Chicken Tikka Masala was creamy and rich, with just the right amount of spice, while the Lamb Biryani was perfectly cooked and aromatic. The vegetarian options were equally impressive, with the Paneer Butter Masala standing out as a personal favorite.
What truly sets Heart of India apart, however, is the impeccable service. From the attentive waitstaff to the quick service, every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. Special thanks must be given to the manager, Vipassana, whose dedication and passion for hospitality are evident in every detail. Vipassana went above and beyond to ensure that our meal was perfect, offering personalized recommendations and making us feel truly valued as guests.
In conclusion, Heart of India is a gem that offers an authentic and delightful dining experience. Whether you're a lover of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit. I wholeheartedly recommend Heart of India and extend my deepest thanks to Vipassana for making our evening so special. We can't...

I recently dined at Heart of India bar and restaurant in Bakersfield and had a frustrating experience due to the staff's rushed demeanor. Even though we arrived well before closing time, we felt like we were being hurried through our meal.
The server was eager to take our order and get us out the door, making us feel unwelcome. They started cleaning up around us while we were still eating, which was incredibly distracting and staff was creating uncomfortable atmosphere. It felt more like an obligation than a welcoming dining experience.
The food was not cooked properly because of hurry. We ordered aloo tikki which was half cooke.we ordered Jira rice but they served boiled rice. Dining out should be a relaxed experience, and I left feeling more stressed than satisfied. I definitely won't be returning. Save your time and money!.
Comment on restaurant reply on my review: We reached restaurant at 9:40 pm on Friday while closing time was 10 pm.. before arriving we called to check if restaurant team would take us for dine in and only after we received confirmation we came in.if you would have told us at that time itself we could have gone for other restaurant which were open late in the same area. I would request you not to take up customer if your staff is not ready to take them in. It was very uncomfortable experience when restaurant staff was sitting in front of us making sarcastic comments like they have to sleep in the restaurant because we are taking time and this is when the time was 10:10 pm. Another staff was sitting in front of us with her mop when we were...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was beyond disappointing. From the very first bite, it was clear that the food was not fresh. They serve frozen curries with artificial food coloring, heat them up, and pass them off as authentic dishes. The lamb rogan josh was completely tastelessâbland, watery, and lacking any depth of flavor. When we politely mentioned this to the staff, instead of addressing the issue properly, they simply reheated the same dish with extra salt and brought it back. This is completely unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that claims to serve quality Indian cuisine.
The chicken samosa was equally badâstale, dry, and flavorless, as if it had been sitting in a freezer for days before being reheated. The fish pakora was the only thing that was somewhat edible, but even that was nothing special. Given how poorly the other dishes were handled, I wouldnât be surprised if it was also pre-made and frozen.
On top of that, the service was indifferent at best. We had to repeatedly ask for water refills, as the staff seemed completely uninterested in making sure customers were comfortable. There was no warmth, no effort, and certainly no concern for the quality of food being served.
This place is a complete letdown. If youâre looking for fresh, flavorful Indian food, do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant at all costs. There are plenty of better options out there where your money will be well spent. Do not waste your time or...
