I was looking for a place to do a little light bodywork on my car amd ended up working on my car behind this place the employees were cool about it and when i was done i asked the guy taking a smoke break what kind of restaurant it was he said "japanese" I love sushi so i told him ill clean up here and come check you guys out. I wanted to sit at the bar but with covid i couldn't so i had to be that guy sitting at the table solo. My server was awesome she had my ice tea never as much as get even close to empty. I started with edamame and miso soup then had a spicy tuna and spicy shrip hand roll followed by the nigiri sampler. Could have stopped there but i had the server ask the chef to make his favorite or signature roll. And i don't know exactly what was in it but man it was amazing! I asked what it was called and i was told it was "the thing roll" check these guys out they also do the dinner where the guy cooks in front of your table, and i could hear them doing sake bombs lol i know a few of them had...
Read moreI always heard west coast sushi was better than east coast sushi so I was excited about getting to try some for my first time since I moved here in August. The restaurant is beautiful. There's a really neat koi pond right when you walk in and the decoration is clean and simple like the Japanese meant it to be. Service was nice and friendly. The order got to us quickly enough. The problem that I had was the sushi. It was terrible. One of the pieces of fish on the top of the rainbow roll tasted gritty and dirty like freshwater fish. The spicy tuna roll was much spicier than it should have been. The salmon was very poor quality fish with gristle and a dry texture. Prices would have been excellent had the sushi been excellent as well, but it was not and so the sushi was way overpriced. Don't think I'll be going there again. There are plenty of other options around...

You don't expect it to look like this inside. I mean seriously, a koi pond? Anyway we enjoyed the show and food, the atmosphere was upbeat. My only real issue was our chef was hard to understand, so his jokes fell flat for a while until we got accustomed to his pronunciation. I personally am not fond of teppan / hibachi food because The cooking process/show prepares the rice first, then the veggies, then the protein. You end up eating cold rice with warm vegetables with protein, or you eat hot rice, wait a bit, then eat hot vegetables, then wait a bit then eat hot protein. That's the reason I gave...
