Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Went through the drive-thru line, took a little while to get my food but that's not the problem. First, the girl hands me the greasiest paper bag I've ever seen with my food in it. So right off the bat I thought that was odd. Second I get home and realized they stacked the fries on top of each other in the boxes and stacked those on top of the cheese curds and the fry boxes which squished all the cheese curds together and made a big greasy/cheesy ball by the time I got home. And lastly, I open up the box for my patty melt and it literally looks like they dropped it, threw it in the box and served it to me. The sandwich didn't even look like it was supposed to be a sandwich. It was just meat onions and bread in a box. I had to build my own sandwich. I was reluctant to eat it because like I said, It looks like they had just dropped it and do it in a box for me. Certain things go through your mind when you get your food and it's a mess. The foods good, steakburger was a bit on the cooler side since the cheese didn't melt but that's no big deal for me. The concrete is delicious though, It takes me back to a place I went to in AZ years ago.The location seems to be pretty busy in the evening, and the staff here are pretty friendly not overly friendly either just enough which is fine by me. Overall a nice burger joint, with good food. My folks run a fast food chain restaurant as well and I know hot food is something that people take note of, it is one of the reasons why their place stays busy aside from the quality of food and the customer service. For me I'm not a picky person and I don't mind it but from a restaurant owners perspective we want to keep giving more reasons for customers to keep coming back again. There is finally a Freddy's in California, and I do not care about driving 2 hours to eat it. I love everything about this place. The food is out of this world fan fair 😋 and the restaurant decor matches with red and chrome dinner seats. I ordered the chili cheese dog with fries and a drink because I was intimidated by their double patty burgers. But I was mistaken to think the chili dog would be any smaller. My all beef dog and bun were covered in beef chili, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced onions. I am craving it again already, but please know the star of the show are their fries. They are thinly sliced sticks of fried potatoe that are different than any fry you've had at any other franchise. Every fry was cooked perfectly. I also highly recommend ordering their double smash burgers, onion rings, and Peanut Butter Cup & Banana custard sundae. I ordered all of this before leaving back home.
