I purchased an $809 plus tax Traxxas UDR and xmaxx Paddle tires on 7/12/2022. Came home and opened the box and installed fully charged and new traxass battery. The ESC wont turn on. I came back to the store the next day to have replaced with traxass sledge (same price) but the young untrained, unprofessional employee refused stating that the seal of the box was opened. I told him that i opened it with the intention to play with it but it won’t turn on. I talked to the owner on the phone and she still refused for a return or exchange. She said that they don’t have a battery to test it and they cannot determine what i did with it since i opened the box. Very bad/ extremely poor customer service. How can you establish long term customer with policy like this. My advice to future customer DO NOT BUY HERE. BUY IT ON AMAZON.it is much easier to return if there is a problem with their product. I will continue to support Local businessess but never again...

Bakersfield Hobby is a nice hobby shop. It's primarily "Traxxas based but from what I gather from the very nice employees I met there...you can order whatever you need. They had a handful of 1/10th scale servos, batteries, Spektrum radio's, chargers, sodering station, and just a few Pro-Line items. With the backup of shipping containers off-shore,....lack of inventory appears to be normal at this point across the board....so don't hold that against them. Went in this afternoon looking to purchase a list of parts for my small business but first wanted to check out the atmosphere. Tried buying a pinion gear for a traxxas hoss 4x4 vxl. I was told by young,untrained employee wearing a cap and glasses, I should go somewhere else for the part I need or should try ordering from ebay. Kind of dumb to turn away business but guess no one has told them this. This is Frankenstein Racing Designs or as we go by FRD RC. Not happy with the service...
