I have been going to PIzzaVille since we moved to Bakersfield and had never heard of Pizza-- No I am not from a foreign coutry. I am from Nebraska and come from an upper middle class town that is in the Panhandle of The Corn Husker State: Nebraska. I moved here when I was about 12 and that was over 50 years ago. I had also only eaten home-made tacos and Never ate at a McDonalds or a Taco Bell. These things were new back in that time and had still not made it to the Midwestern part of the US. The house I grew up in is now a Best Western Motel and the street I lived on was The Oregon Trail. Pizzaville was not yet in Bakersfield but a place called Me & Eds was and only about 2-3 years later-- Pizzaville was born and though I have eaten Pizza in Chicago (which is famous for Pizza) I have NEVER had PIzza like the pizza at Pizzaville. I grew up going there on Friday and Saturday nights when we used to try to have beer served to us. To their credit, they did not fall for our dressups and attempts to be served beer-- I have eaten that pizza for many years and every time-- I feel like I am at home. It is by FAR the best pizza in the USA. I have been to all but 7 states and had pizza all over this country and PIZZAVILLE Is still head and shoulders above the rest. My brother worked there briefly before he entered the Marine Corp and I dated the Homecoming Queen of South High--we went there. It was a classy date. Lots of memories however do NOT taint, cloud or cause bias in my opinion. The make their dough on the spot and they do not use canned ingredients except for spices and thier cheese is exceptional. I would KNOW If if they changed a thing and IF you have not tried Pizzaville Pizza-- you are letting some of the best eating in life---just pass you by. The beer mug atmoshphere is just the way it should be-- it has a SOUND of its own and right now-- I HAVE to go to PIzzaville because writing this made me want another large Pepperoni and Black Olives and I am going to share it with the love of my life and I KNOW it will be a good evening because good food just does that to our lives! Pizzaville is the absolute BEST!!! Go! Warren E. Justice NCARPS, BA, AA,...
Read moreWe have been to Pizzaville several times in the past and enjoyed their service and food. our favorite is their sauce on their pizza. however this time was a different experience, The sauce was a great as ever however we ordered two large pizzas 1 with pepperoni & sausage and the other with double sausage. when we got our order about 25 minutes later (acceptable time) I noticed the one with only sausage had only sparse amounts of sausage, some slices only having 1 or 2 nuggets of sausage. when i asked the counter guy (who made the pizza himself) about this he said it was double Sausage. not very happy about this at all. as a bonus on at least half of the pizza the cheese only went half way up the the crust.
This was a special we ordered and came with chicken and wedges the we didn't get until after we finished our pizza and remembered about the chicken and wedges. When I returned to the counter and asked about this we got right away.
This hasn't happened before so i will most likely be back. however really not impressed with the level of customer service their on Wednesday Night at around 8:30pm Our order # was 127 is case anyone from Pizzaville wants to...
Read moreI have enjoyed visiting Pizzaville USA since the 1970s, when my parents would take me to the now-defunct North Chester Avenue location. In my opinion, Pizzaville has the best pizza (and the best ranch dressing) in Bakersfield. However, it seems that, all too often, they have problems being able to serve fountain sodas--either being out of product or having mechanical problems. In fact, I was informed today, after I ordered my lunch special, that no fountain sodas were available. With this being the case, I would like to suggest that Pizzaville do what so many other eateries do: Carry glass-bottled, real-sugared Mexican Cokes. Many people prefer them, and they could be a great backup option when the soda machine is inoperable or out of product. Another suggestion I would like to make is that they offer a gluten-free crust--preferably in an individual or small size. Regardless, though, I thank Pizzaville USA for decades of...
