I can honestly say that Iāve never had a worse experience with a phone repair shop. Iāll share just a few of the issues I encountered.
First issue was immediate. I had my claim processed for a cracked screen through Samsung with their Samsung Care+ insurance. A few hours after dropping it off, I was informed they could not perform warranty work on my phone as it had damage. You can imagine my confusion as that was the reason I submitted the claim to begin with, but I had to inform them that it was not a warranty claim. It was an insurance claim. They seemed confused by this and said they had never processed an insurance claim through Samsung Care+. It was a relatively new change so I didnāt fault them too much for not being informed, but they had to call Samsung with me and have them cancel the current claim and reissue it since they had processed it as a warranty claim and had closed it before speaking with me because they thought it was not able to be repaired as a warranty claim. So I had to be rescheduled.
I came in later that week right as they opened to have them do the repair and the guy up front was on the phone with a customer. After he hung up, I gave him my phone to begin the process and he commented that it was weird that my phone was the exact same type and color as the person who had just called in and that they had never repaired an S22 Ultra before so thatās why he thought it was such a coincidence. He began the process of getting my phone ready to process and then stopped and said that they only had one screen of that type available and it was spoken for so they would have to order another one. It doesnāt take a detective to put the clues together. He gave the person on the phone the part I was scheduled that day for. He said the part should be in by no later than Monday and would call me back to inform me when the part arrived. A week later I called and found out it had come in and no one had called me which leads me to my last issue.
When I came in for the 5th time to have my phone screen repaired (there were a couple other minor issues throughout this process that caused my appointment to be moved, but nothing as egregious as the things Iām currently listing), I gave my phone to them and was told it should take no more than 2-3 hours to repair and they would call me once it was finished. I received a text within that time window informing me that they believe they fried my motherboard while attempting to replace my phone screen because it would not charge or power on anymore. When I arrived at the shop, I was told that this wasnāt the first time that a phone had been damaged beyond repair there during a screen replacement. Then I was told I would have to be the one to call Samsung and process a replacement claim and, instead of paying the $29 for a screen repair, I would have to pay $99 for a new phone out of my own pocket for their mistake.
The only reason Iām giving this place two stars is because at least the staff was friendly each of the times I was in the shop. Overall, the impressions I was left with were that they were not well enough informed, they are using techs that are not skilled enough to do repair work, and they are not organized enough to make the claims and appointment process easy and efficient. Sadly, I lost about three months of videos and pictures that I had not backed up and paid $70 more dollars to replace a phone that had been working perfectly fine over the previous 8 months except for a single crack across the fingerprint scanner of my screen. Imagine? A phone repair shop that destroys your phone and makes you pay money for their error instead of actually...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe worst experience of my life trying to get my phone screen fixed. The first guy came to my house, took my phone to his car and then came back half an hour later with not only a still cracked screen, he also somehow managed to break the phone enough that my screen was black. He sent me to the Verizon store to get my phone info back online. They said they couldnāt do it, and sent me to Apple, who then told me to go home and do a factory reset on my phone. What was supposed to be 1 30 minute mobile repair, left me with more headaches and problems as well as my time and gas money on my day off. I finally take it back to the asurion store and they finally get my info back but offer nothing in the form of fixing my screen, which is what I had pre paid for and initially wanted done. All they fixed was what their technician broke, not the reason I called in the first place. THEN, I called the next day to try and get my money back. I never received the service I paid for, I should have been refunded that day. But no, they ask me to let them make it right and schedule another tech to come on my day off. I said ok, letās do it. I still needed my screen fixed, and I know things happen. The day of the (now 2nd) scheduled appointment, the technician just never shows up. I spent the entire window they scheduled me waiting at home, for them to just not show up. They didnāt even call to say they werenāt going to make it. I then called the store and they told me there was nothing they could do but schedule me AGAIN, for my next day off. I am beyond livid at the lack of management happening at this store. Nobody seems to talk to each other or have any idea of what is going on. I refused to give a third chance and waste my day waiting for them to eventually disappoint once again and asked to be refunded because at this point, theyāre trying to schedule me for a third appointment when they havenāt ever delivered on the first one! I want my money back, it has been weeks since the initial issue and NOTHING has been resolved. I am adamantly telling everyone I know to avoid this company like the plague, and am looking into cancelling paying for insurance on my phone because it has done nothing but leave us with more problems than we began with. This company is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI tried calling the number provided to speak with them directly but I was not able to speak with anyone. Its an automated system that sends you links, I was never able to reach a person. They charged me for the repair of my screen and I got an alert that my repair was complete yet when I went to pick up the phone, they informed me that the replacement parts were damaged and would be ordering parts. That was several weeks ago and I have not received a refund (probably because they marked it in the system as complete, yet it was not) nor a call back informing me the parts were in. I couldn't wait any longer and just bought a new phone. I had an appointment through Asurion, but when I showed up to have the repairs made they wanted me to sign up for the Asurion Home Coverage if I wanted to be helped that day. There was a lady right behind me that wanted a game console looked at and they told her it would be 2 weeks. What kind of an operation are they running here? I need to be refunded for the service that was never performed but nobody answers the phone and I don't have time to go chase them around over 30 bucks. Just keep it. Lesson learned. Pay the extra money to get a replacement device sent and be done with it.
I see your response below. That is the same number I have been trying to call for several days. There is no simple, standard way of getting through. Can you provide me with your extension? If not, all I can do is get a link that I click on and am asked to fill out a bunch of irrelevant information at...
