Giving 1 star because 0 is not an option Pizza dough was raw, pizza toppings cold. We ordered online and our order included a pasta dish which we were charged and paid for but were told when we went to pickup order they do not carry on their local menu. Should have been simple to get a refund for the pasta, however, they were hesitant to reimburse for the pasta and expected us to be grateful that they finally did reimburse us. The owners/manager were unwilling to accept responsibility for the undercooked pizza and stated multiple times they don’t know how that could happen. My husband, being frustrated, offered to get pizza from trash and take to them for proof but they declined his offer. The manager said they were busy that night and things were a little crazy. I’m thinking this was his way of apologizing. In my opinion, there is never an excuse to serve undercooked food and charge for food that is not received. We received no apology, we were refunded for pasta but only after going back to Round Table the next day and demanding a refund for pasta which was not received. We will never return to Round Table and I hope this reaches enough of the Bakersfield community to help them open their eyes and make immediate changes to their poor service and poor quality food. Our plan is to call the Health Department Monday with a complaint, we took pictures of the uncooked pizza dough to submit along with the complaint. People could get sick eating raw food. Bakersfield, Don’t waste your time at this restaurant, go to any other Pizza Restaurant, do yourselves a favor and don’t waste your time or money until they make much needed changes Shame on Round Table , their owners,...
Read moreThis has been my go-to pizza place for poker and D&D nights for a while but I’m leaving a 2 star review not based on the food (the pizza is actually really good) but on recent experiences. I guess they’ve chosen to use an overseas call center now for their phone orders (and I make that assumption because I had to call four times for a pizza order and they kept disconnecting me and every call back was a different person entirely) and it makes the process of trying to order more difficult and less trustworthy. I don’t feel comfortable giving my details to someone not local that has no interaction with the service.
The only reason I called the order in was because the website ordering service has been very hit or miss and hasn’t worked at all the last two times I’ve tried. Yesterday, the reCAPTCHA system just wasn’t working and the time before that, it couldn’t add pizzas larger than medium to the cart without generating a service error.
In the end, my pizza yesterday was 45 minutes late for its scheduled delivery and I ended up picking it up myself just because the employee said the driver was still delivering other pizzas and would return for mine but I didn’t want to hold up my party...
Read moreIts May 24th. 2022 on my first visit to (Franchized) Round Table Pizza on Callaway & Rosedale Hwy. in Bakersfield. Its hard to imagin a Pizza Joint that has the easy task of making bad Pizza and i wasn't disapointed at this location. The staff has got to stop drinking energy drinks first. That employee spoke so fast for so long trying to "Upsell" me a larger pizza i nearly left the place in discust. Ordered the "Personal Pizza" (see pics) of Parma cheese and Garlic and the menu states you get 6 slices....I got 4 slices ( see pics) Oh well maybe the cook cant count. My first bite came up....Imitation Cheese and raw uncooked Garlic pieces. The sausage was OK, the cream garlic sause was not good at all and the menu stated "Green Onions" of which there was none, (see pics) just sliced up chunks of green Chives. When anyone has been to a great Pizza Joint Parler then it just makes you compare everyone else to them. Round Table Pizza must reorganize the business model if they expect to compete in this market. And BTW, the Beer is charged by the ounce...Yup..The Ounce...Seriously.....? Pass on Round Table Pizza and you will be...
