Salt & Sweet Spot — Restaurant in Bakersfield

We were visiting from out of town to visit family and so thrilled to find a boba spot in Bakersfield that is actually good! I love banh mi/sandwiches and had to try the pate and pork roll one while there. Really enjoyed that--their special banh mi sauce gives it a really good flavor. The bread was fresh and had a nice crisp to it. Next time, I will try their grilled pork sandwich because I hear that one is popular. For drinks, we ordered the brown sugar boba 70% sweet and the mango smoothie. I'd say the drinks here are on the sweeter side, so personally I would go down to 50% sweet. Regardless, we thought the drinks were so refreshing and on par with the boba shops in the bay area.

My personal favorite was the grilled pork bahn mi. The bahn mis were fresh and bursting with savory flavors. The Vietnamese coffee was just the right balance of strong and sweet. Took my family here, thought it would be nice to have them try Vietnamese sandwiches. Since the place had a 5 star review, let’s check it out. When we entered the place, we were the only ones there. Ordered 4 sandwiches, a bao bun, and 6 drinks. Waited 35 mins, it took forever! The lady that rung us up, waited to make our drinks until the sandwiches were done.
